Given that Jarrett used the money he held Vince up for to go found TNA, the company that refuses to die, I think he got the last laugh in the end.

I was at one of those house shows Warrior didn't show up to. I believe Howard Finkle said the Warrior didn't show up because he was afraid to go to Detroit. We booed the shit out of him. Then he announced Sid was to replace Warrior. Sid came out and squashed Owen Hart in 12 seconds.
But TNA's Feast or Fired is a clever way of saying a stars contract is up or better yet set up a storyline where the "fired" Wrestler comes back repackaged

@@johnlennon5143 yeah I think with Chavo they were going to give him a run at either the Tag Team Titles (with Hernandez as his Partner) or the X-Division but his drug issues caused TNA Executives to pull the plug on the Chavo Push and gave it to someone else

I always heard that Vince Russo kept the Intercontinental Title on Jeff Jarrett, knowing his contract was coming up and he was going to WCW. So they could get money, or something else. Don't know how true it is. Considering how good of friends they were, the huge pushes Russo have him, the amount of titles Russo have him, and Jarrett giving him jobs and power. It makes sense, but I don't know how true it is.
I still don’t get why all of the sudden Jeff Jarrett was inducted into the Hall Of Fame since he left WWE on bad terms.
He used their wrestler rehab program for his alcohol problems and therefore he had to crawl back to Vince in the end. So Vince wins and Jarrett gets a HoF induction that only mentions his shitty country singer gimmick. That's why.
They were out of mediocre rock stars to induct is my guess.

I think Hogan also got legit fired on-air in WWE at the tail end of the Mr. America gimmick. I could be mistaken.

Loved Gorilla throwing him out back along with his bag of stuff he had stolen.

See, here's the difference... 2 videos realised at the same time by the looks of it. Both with a negative outlook, albeit to very different degrees. Here we have Simon Miller talking with enthusiasm and an obvious passion for what he's talking about. The other with Andy Murray, who clearly despises WWE and it very much comes through, who speak about WWE as if everyone there routinely kicks his pets in the head. I much prefer this video.

How can a wrestler be fired ? Wrestlers are independent contractors not employees. You can't simply fire someone when a contract is involved.

TNA actually made Chavo a two time tag champ and put him over Angle and AJ at BFG. He got used more than you’d think.
The Hulk Hogan situation is complete garbage, but this is how I have always understood it to be. Hogan, as I have heard, used his creative control on the grounds that after dropping the belt to Jeff Jarrett, Russo had no other plans to used him. I can't hold it against a guy completely for wanting to keep his livelihood going. I heard that at this point, Russo told Jarrett to lie down and let Hogan cover him, meaning that that was not planned in the beginning. This, of course, led Hogan to shoot on the whole thing, and we all remember what he had to say about it. Then, boom, Russo followed up with his remarks and action. If I'm wrong about, I'm wrong, but that is the way I have understood it to have gone down.

1:48 It's not "unreasonable" it's known as a standard No Compete Clause. It's very common in the business world & in many cases it's necessary to prevent other companies from scooping employees with sensitive knowledge or employees who have access to a customer base. In this case it would prevent rival WCW from stealing a portion of then WWF's fan base. It's not only fair but common and a wise business tactic.

Jarrett worked for WCW after holding up WWE. So the whole simulcast firing was Vince not picking him up, Jarrett still got payed. In the end nobody got fired.

To me,,,, wrestling is nothing but a soap opera now a day's.. i grew up in the 80's when it was wholesome and focused more so on individual talent. I guess this stuff today is what the generation wants. Obviously its selling and i wont disrespect todays generation but i will say dam!!!!! The 80's wrestling gave and still gives me that good ole feeling of having a hero to look up to in the wrestling world. Just my 2 cents😉😉
