- In this video Todd talks about the way that we like to travel which is a mix of research with our favorite travel books and websites, all with the goal not of over planning but rather knowing enough so that we can pivot and be spontaneous. That way you can embrace getting lost and enjoying the experience. Most of all, the secret trick is to ask all the people around you and embrace asking the Locals!
Travelling while being flexible is our biggest dream! We don't want to plan too much but a little plan is important to us. It's enough to know about the travelplan for a week but we don't need to know where we are in like 5 month.

Great advice. I used to love to travel by the seat of my pants. Three months in Europe without a plan was fabulous when I was 25. Now, a few years older, I like to have a bed each night. But I also love the flexibility you mention. No hard plans, take it as it comes, but know where I'm sleeping the next night! Looking forward to running into you and your wife at some swanky sidewalk cafe or cool beach bar someday soon!
I hear you about wanting to have a bed each night! (Though three months in Europe without a plan does sound fun.) I think fun travel is a lot like life, you should plan as much as you can, but at the end of the day you need to be flexible and spontaneous too. And yes, that would be great to see you on the road!
