That frontside 360 in 4K 120 made me screeaaamm, so buttery and so much style.. I grew up snowboarding in the Swiss Alps, but now live in Sydney Australia, and this took me right back to the feeling of hitting the slopes. Great video!

I’ve been there before... get all the way to the mountain and realize I forgot my boots... get all the way to the lake, unload the canoe and realize I forgot the paddles... get all the way to the beach and then realize we forgot the whole picnic lunch we had prepped. Always a crusher feeling. You guys were tearing it up out there! Love seeing skiers & boarders ripping 2gether! 🏂⛷🤙🏼

Even on POV, image stabilization is as solid as a rock! DJI went beyond my expectation this time!
Meadows side hit game is un real vs Tline… The GoPro has royally been pissing me off on hill lately, if it doesn’t randomly cut out mid run the batteries die in like 20 mins. The enduros help, but the other issues are becoming a huge pain in my ass. Sick video 😂

I gave up on action cameras after the hero 7. Batteries last minutes when I surf (New England winter surf) or snowboard. Sounds like the DJI does better in colder weather.

The issue I have with action cams is audio. I often use a lav mic to my phone and sync in post later
Glad to see DJI returning to a form factor similar to the DJI Osmo Action 1. Things got derailed with the Osmo Action 2. I owned the Osmo Action 1 and it was an excellent camera. Liked it better than the GOPRO 7. The Osmo Action just worked and simple to use. Unfortunately, I didn't secure the door one day while taking it in the ocean...end of camera. Currently own the GOPRO 10. I'll buy another DJI next time.

Nice video. Humans eyes can’t even see 4k, so 4k is more than sufficient. The only way these high resolutions would make a difference would be on a movie theater screen or bigger. Do you use any other filters on this video? Also I high recommend the insta x3 if you’re a ski guy. It’s a waaaay amazing camera. You can do so much more than the osmo

The magnetic mount is one of the best features of the Action 3! It's impossible to go back to screws after!

Great Video!! Just a quick warning to not buy the Osmo Action 3 unless you can get one with a manufacturing date of at least 11/2022. My first Osmo Action 3 that was sent had a manufacturing date of 9/22 and it had the soft video issue!! Received a replacement from DJI and they sent me a camera manufactured 10/22. It had the same soft video issue. I sent a video comparison between my Osmo Action 1 vs Osmo Action 3(with the latest firmware and settings that DJI suggested) to DJI support and the Osmo Action 1 was clearly sharper. I have ended up just getting my money back. I will get this camera eventually as I'm a DJI fan but have to say that I was really disappointed that DJI sent me a replacement camera that was from one of the batches that they know has the soft video issues!! I love my Osmo Action 1 and my DJI mini 2 drone!! Definitely get the Osmo Action 3 as it is an awesome camera with great features if you can confirm the manufacturing date!!
There is an easy fix on youtube for the first manufactured cams, the lens is slightly too much turned into the camera, all you have to do is uncover the lens and carefully turn the lens 10°-15° counterclockwise so it gets slightly turned out. Im searching the link realquick...

I’ll try this because I just started researching because the video is soft. Then people said to update it. All that did is add sharpening. Still not happy.
Did you have any major crashes with the camera attached? Has it ever happened that the camera ejected from the magnetic mount? I ski hard (and crash hard 😉) so is a concern for me.
How would you say the smoothness / stabalization compares to a go pro? Because the hardware of the dji seems like a huge upgrade

Dude looks cool. For the Love of God could you have them Do 12 times optical Zoom. To save battery life just an old school toggle on the side of the lens. Ya Ya, I know you can zoom in on 4k shots. I like to to all in cam edits bam done. Of course the bigger Optical Zoom the better 20 would be Sick. Love your work. Dude, I'm always about forgetting shit. Im an artist--Shooter too. Nice! One time I showed up at the mountain, but brought 2 left boots (they looked fine in the dark at home). Camera looked good…didn’t see the ‘out of focus issue’ that the early models had; sound seemed ok too (other than expected wind issues at times). On a day like you had the Dji likely as good as a new GoPro. With a bit less light in videos I have seen seen it struggles a bit compared to the GP11. That said, it just seems to function so much better! Fun day!
6:40 focus issue in close view. 8:05 person next to him has much less blur goggles etc.
@@xXadambXx thx…still so hard to see to me. My Sony cameras autofocus sometime worse! I’d still lean to the GP if you can trust it not to freeze up.

I have the DJI action 1 and love it for its reliability and ease of use. I had so many issues with go pro so tried dji and my god it is a revelation!
I am thinking of upgrading to the 3 but the FOV was disappointing on the first one especially if you had any of the stablization on. E.g for kitesurfing you don’t see much past the bar lol.
I’ve watched countless reviews of dji vs go pro but I haven’t found one that compares fov. So would love your thoughts on this considering GoPro has super view.
Also are you now using dji cams for the sickos content?

Reading the comments I guess I’m one of few. Thought the vlog had a few great shots of the action and was informative to aspiring vloggers but overall it oozed commercial! Maybe even had a hint of selling out? Maybe just me? Still gave it a like cause I loved the high level skiing you guys were doing. Amazing. I’ve forgotten my bag before as well so don’t listen to the nay sayers on that topic. Lol

DJI lost my respect to them when they did not say a word on the major hardware focus issue there was. They never recalled any cameras and those cameras are still on the market and the image quality there is worse than on a gopro 7💀

When you use the charger as a powerbank, aren't the spare batteries in it providing the charge? The charger itself has no power on its own.
Hmm that’s a good question… thought it was just the case but Im actually not sure
@@JacksonLebsack that’s an easy answer: connect the battery charger to a device that needs recharging, try with the batteries in it and try without batteries. I bet it will act as a power bank only when the batteries are in it.
Pretty awesome this one, Jackson! Easy decision to buy action 3. Got it now and some questions, others might be interested as well:
1. Did you use any ND-Filter for Follow-Cam & POV?
2. which rocksteady mode (RS, RS+ or Horizontal) for Follow and POV?
3. Do you switch shutter to manual and double fps 60 = 1/120 for motion blur or did you keep osmo action shutter-settings on automatic?

Hey man, I didn’t use an ND but I’d definitely recommend one. It will make the footage look smoother if you do the double fps method. And I just use RS 🤘🏽

Not in my experience but I heard the older versions were having a focusing issue
