- Omolara Ogunmakinju put on a show for Nigeria in the mixed 4x400m, running an absolutely stunning anchor to bring Nigeria home with GOLD in a time of 3:13.26!
She made up a 15-metre deficit and swung past the Botswana 🇧🇼 anchor with just 30 metres to go. Botswana had to settle for Silver in a National Record of 3:13.99. - Sport

Bros, I tire. He just wan spoil show for others. He made the task much difficult for the last girl who had to dig deeper in order to get that hard won victory. On top that the guy go dey tap extra current join with that long tight embrace in the name of celebration ni 😀
What an amazing last leg.... She was so far behind, it looked as if she was totally out of it.... Brilliantly run... Well done to that runner! Well done team! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
I swear ehh!!. Can't really believe my eyes
She truly deserves extra award 🙏
Thank God for this Nigerian team! Omolara Omotosho-Ogunmakinju on the last lap salvaged it for Nigeria 🇳🇬. Hard to believe that this woman just returned from years of maternity break!
Having Children makes you strong.
The Nigerian anchor leg has the mentality of a true champion. She did not run for just any medal. She ran to win the gold and she got it. A million congratulations to her and her team mates as well especially the third leg who has just showed her that she win the individual 400m gold medal if she can only believe. Congratulations!!!!
❤❤❤❤what a run from a mother of two after some years of break from sport.
I need her account number
That Nigerian girl no gree for anybody.😅Welldone to them!🎉🎉❤
Comeback of the century right there. Perfect mentality we needed for our anchor
Omolara omotosho brought tears to my eyes. Wow! She beat that distance! What a win! That Nigerian lady is just too much. Bless you Omolara
Thank you for highlighting the name . Omolara was simply glorious . What a national treasure. And the guy before her ?
Damn! Her come back qnd overtaking was amazing
I cried.
But was the guy that gave her the baton doing to create that type of distance!
I am speechless with what that lady with last leg did,I am just shedding tears
That was a huge come back from Omolara Omotosho
Chai, this is the overtake of the century, no gree for anybody... That lady deserves a national honour
We nor gree ooo… up Nigeria.. that last girl deserve a standing ovation , what a fighter she is 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Oboy that last runner deserves a national award that was the true Nigerian spirit of "no gree for anybody " you fight till the end...kudos guys that was a great race 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Mehn, towards the final lap, what was only giving me hope that we won was your post title. I was only watching to see the miracle happen. Good job!!
I later thought may be the Botswanans are the Nigerians 😂
I m telling you what a blast run from the last runner
I swear, l thought exactly the same
😂😂😂😂😂
Same here ,lol
What a race kudos to the girl she really showed the 9ja Spirit
❤kenya ...that comeback from the Nigerian girl was out of this world
😢that Nigeria last girl na beast
Nigeria 🇳🇬 win 4x400m, this post was like to Me, how? After seeing the very too much gap. What a win..
Congratulations Nigeria 🇳🇬
The 3rd runner na molue😂
Wow Nigeria, congratulations from Botswana👏👏👏what a fighter that girl is💪🏼. I really thought we had it in the bag🫣. Congratulations Bots, you gave it your best shot!
That was an impressive performance from team Nigeria.
Thank God for our anchor leg is a definition of don't give up there is hope. Congratulations team Naija
How did she win that race mehn my hats off for dat lady😮,
The last Nigerian woman was so superb… she never gives up till the finished line…😇
Yea, that's Omolara Omotosho.
😂😂 Botswana ...Great spirit from the Nigerian last lap.. such victory is always sweet
Wow. The third leg really gave the last leg a lot of work..... Congratulations to Team Naija.
He messed up to be honest, I don't mind him carrying second but he never should be given such gap when he had an headstart
And na him be the first person to go and hug her. Pesin wey suppose dey hide for locker room
@@Roderickfacts I don't think he messed up. Ndori (the guy from Botswana) is over a second faster than he is or has ever run. He ran a solid leg if you know what he can do at the moment, but Ndori operates on a different plane normally.
@@Roderickfacts He didn't "mess up". Our 3rd runner was one of the best in the quartet, go back and see how he never relinquished more gap to someone who, as one of his country's track stars, was obviously stronger, he actually closed the gap they started with. The anchor for Botswana was the one who stretched the gap further
The 3rd leg for Nigeria should find another sport or another category
Can you imagine if all of these African athletes were training in the United States or have the same facilities? Africa would rule a significant part of this sports world.
Women are super abeg!! She took a break from sport (Track) to start her family, giving birth to two kids before returning to athletics. See that performance!!! 👏👏Omolara Omotosho-Ogunmankinju.
Nigeria🇳🇬 for life❤
Wow!! Come back of the century. Thumbs up team Nigeria especially the last anchor Omolara🇳🇬
Nigerians are fighters we don’t quit easily even when all hopes seem lost. Kudos to Omolara and the entire team, well done! Proud of you all🎉
That guy on the third almost cost us the first position
Nigerian Last Leg Deserves A National Award ❤
Yes, that's Omolara Omotosho.
The person that spoke no gree for anybody this year 2024 ehn... that person na prophet. Up Nigeria 🇳🇬
God this is what it means to say a hopeless situation turned hopeful
So god loves Nigerians more than the other African countries? I thought god didn’t have favorites 😂
@@raulblaze3300I don’t think you understood the comment at all. If you’re a hater, just say that
Who was that enigmatic female last leg in the Nigerian team? Kudo's . She's been absolutely impossible . WoW . what a glorious pride. !
Omolara Omotosho-Ogunmakinju. Came back after years of maternity break and still won it for Nigeria. She's truly a hero!
The Botswana men were so much stronger than the field, just like the Nigerian women were miles above the other teams. Kudos to team Nigeria, especially Okon George and Omolara!!! Absolute Queens!!!!
The men were not stronger. Only one of them is strong unlike our women who are levels above the field. ❤
@@abodunrinabayomi8808 okay
@@abodunrinabayomi8808Salute to the great Nigerian queens of the track
Super amazing eagles 🦅 🇳🇬 NEVER say NEVER spirit.
Wow! The last lap was. Fireee.. bhet the commentator was just shouting Botswana! Niiigeeeria 😂😂😂😂
The guy na cruz 😂😂😂
Omo,Nigerians ram well..The last girl ran the race of her life…
WTF!!!!!
That was a massive comeback. Kudos to the team and special kudos to the athlete who took the last lap
Wonderful Job NIGERIA!!! Wonderfully exciting and happy for you 💯👏
I was like how with the final lap,so o said maybe the other was disqualified 😅Woawwww congratulations to the Nigerian lady who finished last
True Possible mentality
Omg the last girl wow much love
That was an amazing comeback. Reminds me of the Nairobi games in 1987 when Innocent Egbunike had to dig deep and outshine the Kenyan athlete that was ahead by lots of metres. Congratulations to team Nigeria
What a comeback, what an athlete!!
That lady is awesome,..God bless her
The Nigeria last anchor runner won it for Nigeria, she is a GOLD personified..She never gave up...look at the gap and she recovered it at the last minute.credit to her
Yes, that's Omolara Omotosho.
That last lady Omorala omotosho did an absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to them
That was a great final lap 🔥 🔥
Never give up spirit 🎉🎉
Well done to Nigeria, last leg paced her run perfectly
Great win 🇳🇬
God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬
What a come back, naija no dey carry last
This is a miracle 😮😮😮
😂😂😂😂😂
That was almost impossible, thanks to the lady's resilience, i believe the botwana athletes won't believe it, she ran her heart out in the first 350 meter until she gassed out in the last meter and then she realized there is nothing she could do anymore.
Wow absolutely amazing mhen.
Though I felt for Botswana lady she couldn’t keep her pace till the end she became tired. That why because the distance she was leading with was way too much to overturn but kudos to omolara she did the unimaginable. Stuff of champions 💪
The last runner won it for us
😅
Stuff of champion by the team ❤
Super impressive! 👏 👏 👏
Simply incredible!
Good work doing ,good Nigeria
Keep it Going.👌
This race brought tears to my eyes. Nigerians are brave and determined people
Congratulations Nigeria 🎉
I agree that last lap deserves an award indeed
Great finish from team Nigeria
Omo...The Naija girl no gree for anybody o! What a great fighting spirit. God bless Nigeria!
An absolutely phenomenal anchor leg....reminds me of the phenomenal and legendary Innocent Egbunike (a man, were Nigeria a SANE country should be contracted to coach Nigerian athletes), who ran an equally phenomenal race at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya during the All-African Games of 1987.
That race was watched by the then Kenyan President, Daniel Arap Moi. After the race, the Kenyan President nicknamed Egbunike as "Innocent Egbunike of Africa!!!"
Wao wao wao and to hear Omolara took a break for some years and still came to perform and win the last lap for us, kudos mehnnn, this woman deserves award, with this persevering spirit she should be running 100M women or 400m steady, If she trains and continues like this, she will definitely be a world beater
That girl is real fighter. She deserves an award. A true inspiration of never give up.
What a comeback. Istanbul 2005 right before us. Great effort from the lady. Team Nigeria with a classic
Such a fantastic run, the last leg!! Well done 👏 🎉
I like her fighting spirit, she is exceptional
Patience Okon George and Omolara Omotosho still holding it down!❤️
That last woman is good
We need to study this Nigerian lady as a course in the University, Never give up, No matter what!
This announcer is a troll botswana , Nigeria, botswana, Nigeria Nigeria, Nigeria Naija , Naija , Naija 😂😂😂. What a comeback win for Nigeria .
Proud of u ma🥰 love from Calvary School😍❤
The 3rd person that ran for Nigeria was an absolute tool....thank God we had the last girl with great spirit.
No he isn't. He did what he could, and based of my estimates, he ran an expected split. Ndori from Botswana is however significantly faster than he is and made it seem like he was crawling. On the other end, Lara ran an experienced race, and was evenly matched with the young lady from Botswana (on paper at least). Lara knows relay running quite well.
God bless you Omolara!
That was unbelievable
Wow Nigerian lady
Let appreciate all of them not only one person but let say together god bless the team all they give us the glory
I love my country 🇳🇬
Nice one naija 🎉
Wow what a comeback! I know everyone is blaming the 3rd leg, but Ndori is a worldclass athlete, that was gonna happen, i can imagine the coaches knew, its unfortunate we just didnt have a bigger lead before he got the baton.its why relay is a team sport, just like Omolara was better than the Botwana athlete. Getting the AR just made it much sweeter
Lets not forget we could have been stronger if we didnt have 2 male athletes resting ahead of the individual 400m men finals
Unbelievable comeback. Was just thinking how poor the performance of the 3rd athlete was. Dont know if she was injured but thought she should have remained close to her closest rival atleast. But this was inspiring to watch the comeback
"Poor" how? He was running very fast, do you know the Botswana athlete he ran against? Our 3rd runner actually persevered till the last, he did well! Maybe you need to watch it again to judge their speed better.
I'm emotional and inspired by that final lap! What a fighter! Well done!!!
She brings tears to eyes, I cry and cry and cry, and the definition of life never gives up, Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 ❤️ Omoh.
The last lady made Nigeria proud
The last girl is something else.
For this race, the Botswana last leg started fast, dropped her pace and also wasn't observant. The Nigerian lady as well start slowly and grew her pace and also have endurance. The Botswana lady is fast, she just need to know how to manage it. Welldone team Nigeria. Also kudos to that Botswana 3rd leg
That was awesome Nigeria.
🎉🎉🎉🎉super Amazing Woman
The commentary is just so funny… Botswana Nigeria South Africa Kenya 😂😂😂😂😂 no mention of athletes name
This is great.
Great woman great spirit
Never give up ❤❤❤
Our anchor leg and last leg did it well done
Omolara is the real definition of "No Gree for Anybody".... She was superb
That was beyond powerful!! No gree for anybody!!! Wow!!!!
Omolara, no gree for anybody this year!
wow an unbelievable win congrats to the final lady
