  • Part 3 and the final part of this 1975 Chevy Vega Cosworth. After it ran out of gas, a few times that day 😂 I finally take it on a road test. It’s not the fastest car in the world, but it does sound cool and fun to drive. #chevy #vega #l8rhp

The Vega came with 140 cubic inch engine. In order to qualify for a racing class, the Cosworth engine's displacement was reduced to 122 cubic inches. GM considered a rotary engine as a factory option. Later on, GM managed to squeeze a V6 and even one of their V8s into their Monza (which was a Vega with a different looking body).

Corrosion inhibitor with seasonal replacement was mandatory. Slag and residue, and oil pressure woes, common on them, even before the electric fuel pump and base idle woes of the Bendix EFi.

The Vega Cosworth, love that great EFI H body. Great work. Even better, your kids are getting early car person ship. Greater work than the already impressive Vega.

Really cool car, nice video. Did the owner keep it or sell it?

Still has it. I’ll ask if he wants to sell and how much

It really needs a thermostat. Maybe the radiator is clogged. It would never reach operating temperature without a thermostat.

To me the car will hot without a thermostat. It will go through the radiator to fast and not cool
