Is there any reason why there might be less room on the F150 engine bay necessitating cab removal? Your video looked so slick it makes me wonder why there are so many cab off videos for F150s. I would have rolled it over by hand a few rotations and rechecked timing and verified no valve to piston collision before using the starter. Also, a link to where you got your instructions would be helpful. 'Amazing job!

@17:32 it looks like you almost had it but it popped up because there was no down force. Would it have been better to push down on the tool with your left hand while rotating the engine with a breaker bar instead of a ratchet?

Replaced the actuator but my car still wouldn’t start, just turn on. Jumped it, turned on, was able to get back into reverse, and easily transitioned gears during a drive. Turned it off and can’t get the car to start again. Any ideas anyone? Already tried the grounding trick^

If you get shuttering with this transmission, you need to go and drive it kinda hard. If you drive easy, it shifts easy and shutters. You need to drive them harder when taking off. If the a/c or a lot of people in the car, drive it harder then normal. I take my 14 out and runn it hard a coue times and that helps shuttering alot. They are self adaptive transmissions. It'll shift harder if you drive it harder. I saw a nother ford mechanics video on that issue and it works great.

what do you think about this repair where the guy drills a hole in the bottom of the case and then cleans it? Seems like you could tap the hole and put in a bolt and have a way to clean the dust (maybe even with more air than brake cleaner): czcams.com/video/CoU1QGn_9gc/video.html
