  • Well I was hoping for a bit of a lay in after the breakdown last night but it was not meant to be. I had to be up early again to attend a breakdown for some brakes which had locked, overheated and melted all the grease out of the hub! I managed to get him sorted so he could drive it back to his yard and await further repairs.

Is that on the BPW’s? I know other makes are slightly different but I’ve always to be safe done 3/4 and then operate by hand to take out any extra slack

@@TheSelfEmployedSpannerMonkey not one in particular just the way I was taught for all drum/shoes, never failed my yet, I started my apprenticeship in 1996 😂, so a bit older 😂😂, that Clevis pin in wrong way and no doubt dry too 😡😡😡😡

I know, drives me mad too with the clevis pins. They seize and you can’t get a good swing at them if the are the wrong way round. Most times nowadays the yoke and pin end up being cut with the grinder to get them off 🤬

@@TheSelfEmployedSpannerMonkey simple basics of the trade “think of you having to get that pin out at side of road son” was a phrase I quickly learned
