This video documentary is on Kamarpukur, the birth place of Sri Ramakrishna - a must visit destination near Kolkata. It is a favourite pilgrim centre and tourist destination in West Bengal. Part I contains the rare real footage of the holy consecration of the Ramakrishna Temple on May 11 in 1951and shows detailed history of Kamarpukur village, Sri Ramakrishna’s birth and places associated with the childhood of Sri Ramakrishna like his sacred bedroom; plus the temple rituals as well as his later visits to his birthplace.
