    I just happened to stumble on this. New to molds. And I'd just like to say how much I appreciate how you did this video. My ADHD often makes tutorials hard because my brain can't decide to watch or listen, and I often have to rewind or rewatch them. With this, I was able to follow along and retain the information ALL AT ONCE because it was all visual! Also, as someone who has Anxiety with making videos, thank you for showing me there's other ways than being on camera and speaking to share crafty knowledge. 😁💜

      This is such a lovely comment - thank you so much!
      I also have ADHD (I am the inattentive type :D ) , and prefer visual information, which is maybe why you found my videos easy to absorb :) Similar brains!
      Sometimes I also like watching tutorials / videos at 2x speed because I'm impatient so I made my own videos with that in mind. Music can get very intense when watched that fast so I dont include any, and text means the video can be paused at any point to get more of the information / understanding without having to re-wind.
      There's also additional information like texture/viscosity/hardness etc and the 'feel' of things which I find easier to demonstrate with the sound of the item / visuals rather than a verbal description. I've got no idea if that makes sense but hopefully it does.
      R.e. being on camera / speaking - I know everyone says you have to do that but I don't really listen to what people say I should do :) ! However - I do think that it is important to find a way to put your own personality /style into videos. In my case I do that with what words I use and the style of everything (fonts / colours / visuals etc) - so find something that works with your own style. Thats my top tip!

      Same thing I was going to say. I also figured the poster had ADHD because it's the type of thing I would do if I was a vlogger. Lol. I love everything about this.

      @@NallaGoat there's a lot that I'm still trying to get the hang of!
      Alcohol/ink drops, use of iridescent cellophane, glazing/doming after the piece is made. Using transfer paper to get stickers on my pieces was a big one and you REALLY helped me understand that one. Thank you so so much!

    • @NallaGoat
      @NallaGoat  Před 4 lety

      Thanks so much for the feedback! I am planning on doing an alcohol ink one, and I have another video (just uploaded today!) which shows some doming so I hope that is helpful to you also. :)

    Yay, I'm not the only one who wears rubber gloves!! (You can peel off bits of dried resin).
    Tho mine tend to fit better (bigger hands) and are the ones usually bought to wash dishes with.

      @NallaGoat  Před 3 lety +1

      I tend to use a mix of both reusable and disposable.

    did you let the milky resin cure a bit before adding the flower petal layer mix?

    • @NallaGoat
      @NallaGoat  Před 3 lety

      Yes I let the white layer cure - otherwise the two layers would mix together.

    Hi what vinyl paper do you use as I have transfer paper but don’t no what vinyl one I need?
    Thank you

    • @NallaGoat
      @NallaGoat  Před 3 lety

      Regular transfer tape, or sticky-back plastic would work to transfer the design. Even tape would do the trick for small designs.
      The vinyl I used for the design was a self-adhesive black vinyl - it's very easy to get a generic brand.

  • @garamdancahaya147

    may I know what printer do you use? is it inkjet or laser? And did you use cricket? And which transfer paper do you use?

    • @NallaGoat
      @NallaGoat  Před 3 lety

      For this piece I don't use a printer - I use a digital vinyl cutter (cricut explore air 2) to cut out the words in black vinyl.
      I also used a generic brand transfer paper - bought it from amazon.

    I think if you had audio you would get more subscribers. Some people like to listen while at work or multi-task. Also blind people can not benefit from your videos.

    • @NallaGoat
      @NallaGoat  Před 3 lety +2

      Thank you for you comment.
      I don’t have talking in the video for a couple of reasons:
      1) am a bit shy 🙈
      2) I’m a very visual learner and prefer to watch things than be explained things - so I make videos I would watch and benefit from.
      3) lots of people seem to like ASMR style videos and I didn’t see anyone else making resin videos in this relaxing-noise style. I have since invested in a better microphone and I think my more recent videos are better than this one.
      4) I wanted people to be able to watch the video at 1.5x or 2x speed without having distorted music or squeaky voice. Because it’s visual you can pause if needed as well.
      I understand that blind or partially sighted people cannot benefit from these videos - but I don’t think resin is a very blind-friendly crafting activity to begin with. As resin crafting involves toxic chemicals, I would suggest a blind or partially sighted person wanting to try resin crafting should have some assistance to avoid spillages and skin contact, and to find and prevent spillages from curing on unwanted surfaces. Especially as gloves are a necessity and may dull tactile sensing - like feeling around for things.
      - On the flip side though - a deaf or hard of hearing person watching my videos will receive the exact same information as a person without hearing issues.
      I think if I have more requests for talking on my videos then I may make voiceovers - but so far I’ve had really good feedback. Most people say they enjoy the lack of talking and find the videos relaxing. I’ve had other people say they found it easier to understand the process with only the visuals as it was less to focus on.

  • @Thecraftinggirlboutique

    Omg. The video drove me crazy with all the sounds. It was like someone scratching on a chalkboard. I had to stop watching. Next time add music.
