Probably not teaching directly but seeing, training, and playing with him on a regular basis definitely bring the best out of Brunson too. And we have to appreciate Brunson because not anyone can pick up something from someone who is better than you.

Do you think Luka would be playing as young as a pro if he weren't already so good and something special? I don't think so. As a 16-year-old, he was better than adult players and those pros who came from the NBA to play in the Euroleague, that's why he got the chance to play at all, so nobody gave him anything as a gift. So, I doubt anyone as old as Luka coming out of the NCAA would have gotten that the same opportunity, that's how good Luka was when he started playing as a pro. That's why this narrative about how he was a pro even as a teenager seems misleading and unrealistic, because this is also a precedent for Europe and doesn't happen, it's the exception and not the rule.
