OSHA is overrated. Why would a country with no OSHA oversight want to wear shoes? Flip-flops are so much more comfy. I'd wear flip-flops to work every day if I could.
@@ruthlessluder flip flops are fine because these men know what they are doing work ethic wise. What they are lacking is proper eye shielding, respirators, minor stuff that can allow them to live better after the hard work! Respectx2

The painter and welder lungs I imagine are affected by paint spray and welding material respectively.
The young man spraying the cylinders is at serious risk for debilitating neurological issues, cancer, personality changes, ear and eye damage, and worse. That mask provides no protection, he should be covered head to toe, and the spray booth must have a fan drawing the mist away from him! Toxins aren't just breathed in, they also enter the blood stream through the skin where they quickly reach the brain. This is bad!

I think this is shot in a small scale industry without proper safety and standard practice. Process may be same but proceedures are not. Good hardworking people with limited resources

Teflon tape is not a thread sealant, it is a thread lubricant only. With that I'm sure it doesn't matter with how tight he turned that in.

But i recommend use of mask for Paint and other services and use of gloves.
Respect I use to do similar work to this but my job was to basically clean and check returned LPG bottles, spray paint, fill and label the cylinders. My friend was responsable mainly for replaying the valves. The good thing about these LPG cylinders is that they can like last for 20,30,40 and probably even 50 years(if is good condition). They just need to be serviced every 10 years or so.

They are pressure testing to a high enough pressure to create vapor when they release . I feel sorry for the unprotected guys in the paint shop , and the poor guy pressure testing if one fails .

@@elkid6743 United States. UL Underwriters Laboratories. Those bottles must be inspected at each weld, pressure tested, anti backfire valves, anti tip valve, high pressure blow off valve etc. The seam around the middle is only the first red flag.

Those rings under the cylinders need openings for air circulation to avoid moisture underneath the cylinder surface, otherwise the moisture would causes rusting the under surface
This is in India, they don't have the same standards that the US does.

The sheet metal plate looked very thin for a LPG tank. On the other hand the paint could really be strong because in the west because of environmental /health risks modern (water based) paints are often softer/weaker than the old paints.
Perhaps.. Because its a small sized tank approx 4 kg.. It has a smaller amount of gas/less pressure?... I was also thinking the metal is too thin for australian standards.
That wasn't paint, it was powdered plastic that gets baked on, usually called powder coating.

In where I live the smallest LPG tank is 3kg. With a net weight of 5kg and maximum operation of 5 years. The production is government manufactured and regulated. House manufactured is illegal.
Thickness of the sheets for this size of cylinder is 2.5 mm. I think when he was making the top hole it seemed it's just around the size.

I am really happy that they are getting employment but these cylinders seem pretty dangers... the metal is too thin to hold any sort of pressure. In my country you can't even think about lifting a cylinder with one hand. It's too heavy.
maybe they have a lower pressure rating and looser safety laws seeing how they work without protective equipment
Maybe u are just to weak ?.In my country cylinders that size are more or less same weight based on how they handle them.

Weld it properly. Using correct process, correct parameters and correct equipment.
Lower amps, maybe 2mm arc sticks.. And quicker

These paints aren't spray paints with solvents, these are powder coats. The poor man breaths in plastic powder every day!

Um...this is electrostatic powder coating. No solvents involved. And that mask is OK for Covid 19 so there is no way the powder could hurt them.
