    as a content creator/youtuber and a black american who's family has been torn apart by the disgustingly unfair criminal justice system in this country, i feel the need to give you a valid resource to help the black lives matter movement. this issue is very personal for me and i've been keeping my head down about it because of the trauma i have faced. but now i am in a better head space to discuss this so i'd like to share this link to help without donating directly.
    czcams.com/video/bCgLa25fDHM/video.html
    the description of the linked video above also has links to petitions and donations.
    we'll get through this and don't forget to take a break from social media. it's a perfectly valid thing to do

    as someone who also goes to kpop concerts alone these are really good tips, i go to college out of state so it isn’t easy to get help from my parents, luckily i have my location turned on for them so i know they can know i’m safe, also a lot of these concerts there’s always a few people i know there so i meet up with them a lot, some of the venues have been close to my dorm so i know i don’t have to worry about being stranded and for concerts about an hour away i usually either take the train with someone i know who went too or i do end up taking an uber since my parents have told me that i should do that instead of taking public transport alone

    • @parkjaehyungbestboy922
      @parkjaehyungbestboy922 Před 3 lety

      obviously the uber is expensive LMAO but i get scared taking public transport alone

    As a kpop stan who is under 18, what really sells/convinces your parents is being organized and knowing all information (time, price of tickets, venue, when to leave, etc), having someone to go with if the concert is out of state, and a google slide LOL... My parents are letting me go to a CIX concert by myself because its only 1.5 hours away (they won't let me drive by myself though). NCT 127's concert in New Jersey was further away so I took an older friend with me (aka responsible) and stayed the night at a hotel! Paying for your own expenses also really helps (I make a good amount of $$ off of art commissions) and I personally also feel less guilty... Catch them when they're relaxed/in a good mood, like when they're chilling on the couch and can give you their attention! Facetime them on your way into the venue (or have them walk you up to the ticket worker/entry), text them every 30 mins-1 hour during the concert and let them track your location the entire time! I am fortunate to have more laid back parents compared to other young kpop stans I know, but you just have to know what satisfies your parent's worries. If that means getting them a ticket and coming along, you might as well if you really love the group! I personally cannot bc it would be awkward with semi-shirtless men in front of us😂😂

    can you please do a video where you give tips to convince your parents to go see bts or any kpop group? I really want to see bts but my parents wouldn't want me to go alone. how do I convince them to bring me 🥺🙏🌈💜

    • @luvllye
      @luvllye Před 4 lety +9

      Convincing your parents 101:
      Ok so, this is what I did and it actually worked and I was JUNGSHOOK. I was lucky because the concerts were supposed to be 2 months before my birthday so I asked if it could be an early birthday present. My parents said it was WAY to much money so I said I would pay half for it. Even though I'm underage and dont have a job, I saved eVeRy dollar from that my grandparents gave me from Christmas lol. Just so you know, if you really wanna go, then you got to do anything you can to get those tickets and that's all I had in mind when convincing my parents. Tell them that BTS, or whatever artists you wanna see, is your role models and make sure to put your heart and soul into every word you say. Also, it took me 2 years to convince, I originally wanted to go to the Speak Yourself tour but I didnt do a good job and convincing my parents. And I tried again for the MOTS tour and it worked! Never lose hope and remember that YOU WILL go see your idols and have the best time of your life in a concert even if it takes 10 years.
      To Not Go Alone 101:
      I personally, am going with my best friend who's mother is taking us to the concert. If you dont have a friend who likes kpop like you, then like Princess said, you can meet fans from Twitter, ig, etc. If you are going that route, then meet up with them in real life like at a starbucks or smt so your parents know they are a safe person to be around. But if you cant do that, then either try to get your parent to buy a ticket also so they are with you at the concert or tell them that they can drive you there and you'll text them every 30 mins or so so that they know you're safe :) GOOD LUCK!

    I'm in college and live with my mom and I have money to go to NCT 127's concert for Atlanta and it's freaking close to where I live and I'm trying to go alone but she is super wary and got concerned when I said I didn't have anyone to go with (but I will meet up with someone in line). I've never gone anywhere and it's frustrating because she acts like Ima die for going alone and I've always felt like I've been supervised and never get to do things alone. She didn't say I couldn't go but I'm just gonna buy the ticket anyway and go alone + i got anxiety but wish me luck guys

      @@valvitch1586 hey!! I got my tickets already for Atlanta and I am indeed going alone 😢 it’s also VERY cold like freezing cold where i am (I’m literally 20 mins away from the concert venue) so I’m gonna be freezing cold alone. Hopefully I survive for real and make some friends in the lines. We both got this, we may be alone but at least we are going to experience Nct in person 💗 !!

The ones I have now are high up and In no way am I ungrateful shit I cried just because I got the tickets I didn't care where I was lolll but I feel like the crowd experience and the floor experience just hits on 2 different levels. hi! i have a question. I know that if you’re 16 you can go alone at a concert but what do i need to bring to verify my age ? Do i bring my school ID or do i need to bring something else ?

    • @monmonnnie
      @monmonnnie Před rokem

      I went to NCT 127's NJ concert a few months ago as a 17 year-old and they did not check for any ID, just your ticket... I very much doubt any kpop group would have an age-restriction either. If you want to be safe, you can take your school ID but keep it in a wallet or side purse!
