This Supreme Court decision is wicked and I highly doubt that anything can be done against it unless there is a constitutional amendment or new Supreme Court justices that will modify their interpretation of the Constitution.

Border security is indeed a problem, but certainly not the biggest one. If the forces hostile to America and democracy, above all Putin and Xi Jinping and Iran, are not kept in check, again mainly in Ukraine, then one day we will long for the problems at the border to return.

Put in perspective, the problem is smaller than the acute danger in Ukraine, for example. Besides, one does not exclude the other. My pragmatic approach: first of all, more resources against the fascist threat to the world from Russia and China.

It is amazing to me that people will follow the lead talking point about the border, however they never question why it is out at the forefront. More people get angry about people they don't know, may not see but not the fact that more than half of this country doesn't have $500 of emergency funds. I'm in my 50's and live near the southern border. During my life the border has been fairly easy to cross illegally for those who wish to. If something is gonna change to make it more secure, the border issues have to and only will be changed by Congress. If they actually want to do so. Ford, Carter, Reagan, The Bushs, Clinton, Obama, Trump, Biden...none of them have done or made "Lasting" changes regarding the southern border. And I live close to the southern border. I know first hand what hasn't changed. Convenient how in election years, whatever current stooge is in the whitehouse is to blame for something that's been a issue for many many many decades. Congress is the only entity that can make permanent/long term change. If there was a way for them to make money resolving this issue, Congress would or would've done it already.

I would disagree with Sen Manchin the border is not our most serious problem. Our most serious problem is Trump & Co. The border problem is simple to solve. We need to get the funds to be able to go into the countries people are coming from . We need to set up a presence and help these governments run out the drug cartels & in their countries. If we can help these people feel safe in their own homes. I am pretty sure they would rather stay in their home country. This idea is way better idea then building a wall. The wall idea is a complete waste of time and money. The border problem is never going to be solved as long as the House republicans refuse to work with President Biden and the Senate on the problem. President Biden has made it clear he will work with them. What did they do them went to the border for a photo op. They should have been in Washington Dc working the rest of congress and President Biden on the problem. Nobody should be blaming the president when it is the house republicans holding things up.
My Dad's side family came from West Virginia. Manchin is a Democrat there, who can't beat the Republican who will run to take his seat, so he is leaving the Senate. Most of the people in West Virginia are extreme conservatives and Republicans, they aren't moderates and Manchin is changing the goal posts to claim he is a moderate.
Their Republicon Governor is running for Manchin's Senate seat. Governor Justice was elected as a Democrat in WV and changed his party to the party of trump when trump promised WV clean coal. WV is the poorest State in the country.
