The wanderers library is basically the physical concept of knowledge it self the biblical serpent of the tree of knowledge
Out of all the organizations, this is among the more esoteric and occult, my favourite brand of SCPs
Fun fact the Wanderers Library has its own wiki. It’s one of the two sister sites to the SCP wiki. The other site is SCP International which houses translations of SCPs from foreign branches.
I think what really makes the Serpent's Hand such a heroic faction in the SCP universe is that they are not stupid. They know there are dangerous anomalies that should not be let free, they are perfectly fine letting those rot in a cell. Plus, a major part of their philosophy as to why they want the Veil to break is that dangerous anomalies should be public knowledge so that civilians can prepare themselves against them the same way one can prepare for natural disasters in real-life. Logic which is perfectly sound.
It also says a lot that two of the best and most utopian of timelines in the SCP multiverse are basically what would happen if the Serpent's Hand got what they wanted.
Plus... SCP-6500 further justifies them, particularly with the Vanguard ending. It is a RIDICULOUSLY long SCP, and the exploring series had to split it up into 6 parts, amounting to seven hours total. But it is one hell of a wild ride.
awesome ill have to check out 6500, and i personally agree with their philosophy of wanting to know so i can be prepared just as you stated. living in fl and dealing with hurricanes regularly you need to have certain things ready if the worst should happen

I would go with [SCP-6001: Avalon] first ad its not a monster leanght and is one of the other near Utopic what if serpents hand got its way takes.

Broken masquerade canon explores that possibility of anomalous living in society
6001 is alternate world where everyone anomalous and non anomalous coexist
And their are other canon and scps that explore it

Nope gears is not part of the bright family he a seperate senior researcher your thinking about Clair bright who was a member of serpent hand who could see the future and Adam bright who was one of the founders who resigned
Also, since the Serpent's Hand has access to infinite knowledge, and access to the multiverse, they probably destroyed the song because I can only assume something apocalyptic occurred because of it in other universe.

There are some Scps that i want to recommend, but they are a bit long , i do not know if there a limit to the length of a video you can react to
