Iâm so thankful for your videos. My husband, my self and our 4 kids are moving to Oahu in a couple months. Youâre so informative and kind. I literally want to hug you!! Thank you !!
This is a very, very sweet comment. Thank you! And for the record, Iâm a hugger. đ¤
love đđđthis video
Nice job giving an authentic locals' view of Hawaii. You give a perspective that can't be provided as accurately by someone who has lived in Hawaii for only a few years. I always enjoy your take on Hawaii life.đ¤
Thank you! đ
Mahalo SO much for these videos! We were residents in Oahu for a few years and had to move due to our jobs; but the aloha got into our souls! Now we return every couple of years to visit friends and the kids are old enough to want to return. Fingers crossed we move back to the Hawaii ohana!
Aww I'll cross my fingers you come back too!
Aloha , for the update on Kona brewingâŚ. draught beer in brewed in Kona for the islands only, in their new facility they are now canning longboard & big wave only âŚsays on the can brewed in Kona, Hawaii, but the bottles are bottled & shipped from the mainland .đť
Also the OG owner still controls the brewery & the restaurant in KonaâŚ. ABI owns & controls the brand every where else đş
Hawaii so Beautifful...thank you Maila...â¤
Loved this video so awesome and so important MAHALO âĽď¸đş
As a pittie owner I can tell you they are THE best dogs: loyal, loving, tolerant, athletic, and sweet.
Same things I love!
Toyota Tacoma are all over Hawaii
Omg i have a pit bull
Named Roscoe ! Im bringing him
The clinging to high school and extreme celebration of it happens in towns where most people stay there their whole lives, and generation after generation. Full-grown adults talk about their high school rivalries and keep up with who wins the "big game" forever.
This is so true.
Peaked in high school.
Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it GTK.
Thank you for watching!
Jokoy said it best about the Tacoma 2003 brand new brah ... Lol
LOL! He really did do it best.
Great entertaining video as usual đ đ đ !
thank you!
Huh, you make it sound like living in France. Well, except for the sun, sand, ocean and...oh, never mind.
Haha!
You gotta specify which kind of 80s music locals love. It's not Duran Duran, OMD, Depeche Mode, etc., or Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, etc. I had to "headphone" myself when I put those artists on my radio. Yet freestyle and 80s R&B was "louder, please". Nothing wrong with that.
Haha! You are TOTALLY right. Itâs Lisa Lisa, Debbie Deb, Cherelle, Trinere, TKA, Stevie B, Cover Girls, ExposĂŠâŚ
@@mailagibson6787 I forget which station out there played all that (it's been near 10 years), but I usually had that one on.
It was I-94 or 93.9. Now, it's KUMU 94.7 that plays old school. I'm still having a hard time accepting Ace of Base and TLC are old. LOL.

Crack me up đ. Good job
Thank you! đ

Was that you in the low rider truck? đ
Best place to lease a home? I heard big Island still reasonable? Mahalo
Love these videos! You forgot poi dogs!!! And you forgot the banners on fences for high school grads. Something you donât see on mainland anywhere!!! And for sports, MMAâŚdef more popular here than mainland!
Ahhh all good stuff!! Thank you! MMA for sure and the grad bannersâŚitâs so normal to me, I forget how no one else does it.
@@mailagibson6787 thatâs why itâs good to get feedback from the eyes of a malihini đ
Don't know that your explanation for the origin of ha'ole is correct. I learned the origin is from the Hawaiian custom of how they would share their breath when greeting one another. They would touch foreheads together and exhale, allowing their breath to mingle. When Capt. Cook and other Westerners came to the islands, they did not do this sharing of breath, hence ha'ole, or without breath. (Personally, the traditional greeting can be difficult, especially when someone has hauna breath. Locals will understand what I'm saying.)
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my whole life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Mrs Angelia marie.

Any Mexican food??
GoshâŚif thereâs one thing we lack, itâs Mexican food and I swear we love it!
I remember there used to be a couple of little hole in the wall Mexican restaurants that I knew of, but that goes back at least 20-30+ years ago. Don't know if either one is still there. I went to one of them on N. School Street with a friend of Mexican ancestry, who was originally from California. He vouched for their authenticity, and I had to agree the food was excellent.

So youâre a transplant? đ
Technically, yes. I was born in Missouri. My mom is Hawaiian and born & raised in Hawaii, but hey, I didnât choose to be Hawaiian and born in the mainland, so donât hold it against me.
That is not what haole means. It is not haâole.
i love rice and spam eat eat unstill die / aloha hawaii n mahalo
Hahaha. I love spam too. Spam musubi to be specificâŚtill I die. Aloha đ
