Tbf, that's how a misclick can work. You don't always catch those immediately, and it'll sometimes take a few seconds for it to register that your opponent has drawn a card
Yeah tbh, sometimes DB lags and it takes a second to even show up for you. I feel like Coder was a little too harsh in a lot of these calls tbh

5 seconds is NOT a long time coder LOL. some of us older players take 5 seconds to even realize wtf just happened.
Honestly I know. I take forever to do things if i ever try dueling books cause I type slow and have to look for buttons. Its not cause im trying to stall Im just not practiced enough and bad at typing.

Yeah that was totally bs. It woulda made more sense if it was like 3 actions into the opponents Main phase. But 5 seconds after clicking end turn…..clear lag….i can imagine he clicked set on the monster but it didnt set (coz db do that sometimes) and instantly clicked end turn after. Then 5 seconds later hes like “wait wtf why didnt it set?”

Ngl I've legit had times where I click something and the game stands still for a solid 10+ sec before proceeding so I could very well see the 5 sec guy telling the truth

Not gonna lie, that second judge call feels VERY hasty on your part...the guy explained he was lagging. That already explains why it took him 5 seconds to say wait. Because on his screen it very well could have taken 5 seconds for it to show him having clicked end turn.
He said he was trying to type in LP so after the end you are lagging while trying to type in LP box. If LP was actually being affected at that time I believe him. He was prioritizing the wrong thing.
Dunno why coder includes the replays where nothing happens and he makes contentious calls like this man, just find the funny ones.
I'm ok with the ruling, but at 2:25 you gotta realize 5 seconds is like lightning fast for some people lol. Sometimes I'll hit something consecutively on DB and it'll say it was like 3 seconds apart. Personal connection and servers matter. You've used DB for so long surely you know 5 seconds is realistically a fast correction.
Also the time it takes to write it out is another second or 2, swinging the mouse a little to much and missing the text box could add another second
Soul Absorption in Green Manju is indeed a pain to follow as a duelist and a judge
i never thought it was confusing til i saw how many times i needed to activate it in master duel when i played it in runick
@@TimothyGod Does absorption chain link? I know wording is possible for it to be simultaneous with the banishing (see the red eyes XYZ monster), but is it used for this card?
@@Mernom soul absorption can't create a chain link; it's spell speed 1, being a continuous spell. it just has one condition and one effect. you'd resolve a chain in which a card(s) were banished and then immediately activate soul absorption (as it cannot miss timing), starting a new chain

5 seconds is not long at all to realize you ended turn by accident then type out "misclick" especially with how bad the servers can be, sometimes I'm amazed at how malicious coder can be over obvious misclicks.
Coder slays any miss click in judge calls, whileas miss clicking and slow typing himself xwx

I gotta disagree with the ruling on that guy who misclicked. 5 seconds is not very long. Some people aren't very fast typers, you should know since i see you having to look at your keyboard as you type. moving the mouse over to the chat, click the chat, and typing out that you misclicked all under potential latency can easily take 5 seconds. I'm so glad i don't play on dueling book. not only becasue it looks like it takes way longer to play out a match but also because the community seems so absolutely desperate for any win possible that they call a judge if you try to correct a misclick.
I kinda missed judge calls lol, but the content has been absolute FIRE coder. Some of my favorite on the platform by far

Honestly just once I want to see a stalling call, they claim it’s due to lag, then as coder is trying to explain to them why they are getting a minor warning for it, he lags extremely hard. Like for a minute. Would be very comical.
I feel like a lot of issues on Dueling Book could be caused by a “Declare Misclick” button, that way even slow keyboarders can get let their opponent know quickly and discuss from there

The entire video I felt like you were hard with those guys. Many of them were telling you that the site was lagging as hell, one even told you that he doesn't have a good pc and you proceed to freeze him 💀

Grey judge is basically a head judge position, Coder would be the guy brought in if someone tries to say the want to appeal a calling.

You just answered your own question “realize your fuck up”. A missclick you’d realize instantly and go “oops” takes a second or 2. I’m not Sharking, i’m the judge and these are clearly outlined in the rules of the website.

You'll likely have to resolve any mandatory part but it completely depends on how long and what the game state is now. It could be an accepted game state.

Pingu actually is unaffected based on its Xyz materials' card type (Psychic etc), idk if that made a difference but it's different than only looking at its own monster Type on the field.

Why is dB so harsh
Brother typed 5 seconds and didn't think for even a moment how stupid it was. Coder should take 5 seconds when he makes his calls.
The whole point of Pingas in Traptrix is to devour monsters to turn off their theme's effects against it. Of course, if you make the right types by chance with miscellaneous Rank 4 Toolbox options you can potentually skip that step. Solemns are good for enabling this effect since they negate and destroy, either way the monster card used gets sent to grave by their effects.
A card has to say sonething ti the effect of "Card type(Spell, Trap, Monster)" for "type" to refer to one of those 3 categories rather than a Monster type. And it specifically mentions Trap cards earlier in the effect line, ruling out that definition of "Type" entirely.
And thats why master duel is better

As someone who started playing when master duel came out, and started going to irl tournaments about a month after, I could NEVER play Dueling book for anything other than playing with friends. I’d rather play and test seriously on a simulator where I can see if the game allows certain interactions or not. To me it just feels like people play on there to rule scum. Very zoomer take I’m sure, but that’s just my opinion.
