The Mitsubishi Montero Sport is a highly popular 7-seater SUV in the Philippines, consistently ranking among the top-selling vehicles in the country each year. Its appeal extends beyond being a status symbol; it is also favored as a family car and a durable, reliable midsize body-on-frame SUV for both on- and off-road driving. The third-generation Montero Sport features a completely redesigned front end, highlighting Mitsubishi's 'Dynamic Shield' grille, a hallmark of the brand's contemporary lineup.
The Mitsubishi Montero Sport is offered in the Philippines with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and it is built on a ladder-frame chassis. The 4N15 engine, a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline 4 DOHC 16-valve diesel motor with 179 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, powers it.
The Montero Sport has chrome linings that surround the huge air intakes and extend up to the fog lamps, complemented by sleek LED headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights.
Along with the brand's Mitsubishi Valve Timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) technology, the diesel powertrain also has a Variable Geometry Turbo to assist you go above and beyond. The 8-speed Aisin automatic or the 6-speed manual transmission in the SUV delivers power to the wheels.
Additionally, the Black Series model has Mitsubishi Remote Control capability, which allows you to link your smartphone with the car to operate specific features. The remote control's functions include opening and locking the tailgate, turning on and off the headlights, turning on the vehicle's hazard lights, opening and closing the power windows, starting and stopping the engine, setting reminders in case you forget to lock the car, and using its Car Finder feature to help you locate the SUV in a parking lot.
The Dynamic Shield design language, which is also present in other Mitsubishi vehicles, is carried over to the Mitsubishi Montero Sport. This results in a three-tier headlamp arrangement for the seven-seater SUV, which is also present in the other cars in the brand's local portfolio. LED daytime running lights, LED headlights, and LED tail lights-which have been redesigned to be shorter than those on the model before the facelift-provide the lighting. Mitsubishi gave the Montero Sport's front appearance a little makeover in 2024, changing the grille and bumpers. For the model lineup, they are also paired with halogen fog lights. The Montero Sport has several of safety features. The car is equipped with a Brake Override system, two front airbags for the lesser variants, ABS with EBD, speed-sensing door locks, ISOFIX child seat tethers, and high-impact side beams as standard. Additional airbags totaling four in higher variations like the Black Series and GLS grades, along with braking help, hill start assistance, trailer stability control, stability and traction control, and brake assist are included.
A blind spot monitoring system, lane-change assist, Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control, an ultrasonic mis acceleration mitigation system, a rear cross-traffic alert system, and a forward collision mitigation system are also included with the Black Series 4x2 and 4x4 models.

Sa ibang bansa facelifted pero yong engine nya 4N16 na bkit sa Pinas yong old engine pa din na 4N15 tpos ang mhal nman overpriced.
yun nga lang nakaka disappoint din sana ginawang 4N16 nalang engine para naman mag justify sa price.
Maganda na yung interiors black na at bago na leather seats.. kaya dapat naka bukas flashlight mo para mas ma appreciate natin ang kulay at bagong design ng bago seats

For 2.2m I'd just get the everest or the MUX for basically the same price I can get better cabin space and more comfortable ride. Montero is old, we need a new gen

ang 2025 montero face lifted is 4N15 pa po akala ko nga 4N16 na same sa triton. baka sa all-new montero na nila e lagay yung 4N16
