I remember as a child, I always heard the jingle of an ice cream truck during the summer, but I never saw one. And when I did see them, the never seem to stop. It's kinda eerie, like they are eternally taunting children by denying them frozen treats.

When I was 6 the Good Humor truck drove down our street like it was the Indy 500. This was back in 1959. I was so traumatized that I cried for 5 hours. It's all over youtube and it's typically rendered by bluegrass bands. It was Billy the Kid's favorite tune and he used to ask the Coe brothers to play it when he danced with the local Mexican girls in Lincoln County, New Mexico.
