Not only that, but they also gave her permission to own the copyright to this (her) version of Bohemian Rhapsody! That is almost unheard of for anyone, much less a 13 year old young lady!
John Battles. Yep. All true. But the unfortunate thing is, AGT owns this performance, since they are the ones who bought the rights to use their [Queen] song for the show. That’s why she had to re-record and release another studio session of this. This one is my favorite version of hers.

Here is an introduction to Angelina for you and your viewers who might not be familiar with her.
Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong.
Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.
After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down.
Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan.
Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions.
At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities.
Angelina Jordan has about 170 songs in her repertoire. In 2020 she signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her versatility is unmatched. She will wow and surprise you all the time. 16 years old today who is an excellent role model for today’s youth and her best is yet to come.

You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (150+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice!

Congratulations! You just discovered the best Vocal Artist on the Planet! IMO This opinion is quickly being reinforced as her career is finally starting to I believe explode. I'm surprised there are still many who know nothing about her but again I think that is going to change. If you want to hear music listen to anyone. If you want to feel it listen to Angelina. Thank you for your enthusiastic reaction to Angelina and I'm looking forward to the next one. She did not win which was a very good thing. She and her family decided they would not sign with Simon's record label because it would constrict her career. She signed later with Republic records and has full freedom. Norwegian born Angelina began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Influences include Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Diana Washington, Adele, Frank Sinatra, Amy Winehouse, Lana del Rey, and many more. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became the youngest ever vocalist to win an international Got Talent Show! She also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 16, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. Why does Angelina sing barefoot?
When she was 6 years old, she was in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes and has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.
Angelina penetrates hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world and spread love and peace. She is now 16 in 2022. She got Heidi's golden buzzer which sent her to the finals where she blew everyone away with her rendition of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." THIS song is a Freddy Mercury song (Queen), which you might want to listen to for comparison. What Angelina did here was genius---it is her hallmark to make her own arrangements of important covers. She's been singing since she was 1.5 years with a Whitney Houston song. She won Norway's Got Talent singing jazz, being 7 yo and winning just after turning 8. I strongly recommend you listen to, if not react, her four Norway's Got Talent songs---Billie Holiday's "Gloomy Sunday" and "I'm a Fool to Want You," both audition pieces, and Bang-Bang (Cher & Nancy Sinatra), and the finale winning "Summertime." Awesome reaction and she didn't even make top 5! I personally believe her Family was behind it and this is why. In an interview after she sang "Yellow Brick Road" and "Someone You Love", her mother said, "Now that she fulfilled her dream to impress Simon, it's time to go home and have as much of a normal childhood as possible. AGT immediately pulled the video claiming Copyright issues. The Musical Group Queen was so impressed they gave her the Copyrights of her version, why hasn't AGT re-posted it. She still hasn't gone to Main Stream even though she is signed with Republic Records and has 2 Originals with them, "Million Miles" and."7th Heaven". She has 2 more Covers released with Rob Christie, a Grammy winning Pianist from Republic Records, but are under Angelina, Inc. Not sure what is going on there, just fascinating to me. Angelina is an astonishing, impossibly good singer. She's a prodigy, but that doesn't begin to describe her. The word prodigy usually means someone who is amazingly good for a child, and maybe will someday become a top adult. But Angelina at age 10 or 11 was already one of the very best singers in the entire world, and since then has only become much better. Lorraine, this is akin to the Wright Brothers introducing their first airplane on national TV and they then unveil a B1 Bomber.
Her family protect and handle her future so she can't win (If you win, your owned for 10 years) So no. It's been understood she would finish school and grow up normal first, yet she became the youngest published writer in Norway at 9 years old and by 12 performed around the world and on top of the hundred plus covers she's done she has her own music. She has been protected because your witnessing "Next Level Event" or "World changer" level and millions have been affected by her. Now you know. There's a ton on youtube to check out for yourself. Great reaction to & appreciation of this masterful reinterpretation & performance by Angelina of this epic Queen song. What this view doesn't include is showing Heidi giving Angelina the "Golden Buzzer" which allows Angelina to go straight to the competition finals. Highly recommend her 2nd AGT performance - Yellow Brick Road. And if you listen carefully to those lyrics, you can hear her foretelling of the "competition" outcome. (Btw - Angelina's family allowed her to participate in the competition on the condition that they did not have to sign the standard contract. This then allowed Angelina to later sign a contract with Republic Records when she was 14.) IMHO Angelia is the best female vocalist that I have ever listened to in my lifetime (& I'm 72). I strongly believe that Angelina has the GOD given gifts of not only a beautiful voice, but also the ability to emote the essence of each song she sings direct to our hearts & souls allowing us to also deeply FEEL her music as it flows through her. Okay, this was not the regular AGT, this was the champions show, which they only did twice. It was not broadcast live, it was recorded in Oct 2019 and then broadcast in Jan - Feb 2020. Angelina's uncle Mike wasn't looking at agt, they called him wanting Angelina on the show. Mike took one look at the contract and said no, it was totally unacceptable. When Mike didn't call back, agt came back and agreed to Mike's terms, which appears to have been three songs at a flat fee and no contractual connection to agt. Marcelito Pomoy from Manila was also brought in something like this, at 35 years old he was an established star in east Asia with a contract with a record label over there, so they couldn't sign him up. Who all of the 40 total acts had agt contracts I don't know, but I have read that the top three finishers not only did, but also had previously scheduled engagement runs in Las Vegas for that Nov. I found an on-line poll from the week before the finals were broadcast in which people were asked who they felt should win. Marcelito got 42% and Angelina 40% with the other eight acts splitting up what was left. Marcelito finished fourth and Angelina was not in the top five and the internet blew up. NBC didn't pick up the show for a third season, Marcelito went home to Manila and angrily stated that he wasn't allowed to sing the song he wanted to in the finals, and Angelina was quickly contacted by the Norwegian production team of Stargate, those two guys having moved to LA a few years before Angelina did. They had lost track of her and didn't know that she was in town. In Nov 2020 Angelina signed with Republic Records, they have a studio in Santa Monica, after they won the bidding war that uncle Mike refereed. There is a sad postscript to all of this, the first place act was the spectacular acrobatic dance troupe from Mumbai, India called V Unbeatable. After their US tour they went back to Mumbai and waited for the broadcast of the show, with performances scheduled all over India for the whole year. Then India went into a Covid lockdown, all shows were canceled, groups of people weren't allowed to meet, Unbeatable couldn't even rehearse. The money ran out, many of the dancers came from poverty stricken circumstances and had to go back to that, and the brilliant dance team, at the height of their fame, collapsed and ceased to be. Sometimes the person who doesn't win, turns out to be the real winner

Though she's still only 16 1/2, still in school, she did move to LA from her homeland of Norway.... She got the golden buzzer, but ultimately lost to pomoy because apparently the super fans who were the voters, prefer vocal gymnastics over quality of voice. And some others say that she didn't win because her family who protects her and her uncle is her manager, they wouldn't sign Simon's contract. Her appearance here on AGT was mostly to exposure to a global audience, more than it was for her to actually win. I'm not sure if her family informed her beforehand that Simon was corrupt and the odds were stacked against her, probably because they wanted her to give it her all, which she did. Her not winning AGT champions is probably a great thing because it leaves her free to be her own artist and grow up well. She's now 16, and signed with Republic records who is respecting her family's wishes and her creativity, and have given her the designation of top priority Young artist. :-) great years are to come, for sure. :-)

Well this performance earned her the golden buzzer from Heidi Klum and sent her all the way to the finals. Sorry to disappoint you girl but she did not win. A circus act beat this beautiful talent. Apparently she was there not to win but to have her exposure to American audience. Rumors flies around like that she refused to sign with Simon Cowel's company if she wins and that took her out of the competition. I mean you will never find another Angelina Jordan in a competition like that. The near fact that AGT already tried to bring her to sing on their stage before and failed is a somethin to think about.

She didn’t win. 6th place, I believe. But that’s because AGT went with a Superfan voting system for Champions Edition 2. Superfan, is one person gets to vote for their entire state. So if you get somebody that really likes magic, they’re going to vote for the magician. None of the other amazing singers that year went in the top five. The Superfans preferred visual acts. The dance troupe V-Unbeatable won the competition. But Angelina won more exposure than anyone else. She was kind of known after winning NGT. Then even more by releasing 130+ covers on YT by this time. But AGT got her name out there so much more. I’ve never seen any reactor do a reaction to any of the top five in that competition. I’m sure some have, but none are going down a rabbit hole like everyone does with AJ, “The Barefoot Princess, The Princess of Jazz, The Barefoot Angel”.

There are a gazillion covers of that song which are all drums and fireworks not quite measuring up to the original. But, AJ turned it into a melancholic jazz ballad. No one had done that before.
