Future Tone is more realistic art style, MegaMix has an anime look, and Mirai has a Nendoroid style.
yup but i swear odds end megamix is straight up " hi lets leave it up to the program with the already made model and surrounding with no adjustments at all"
i don't think it's different art style...the Mega just has less detail than the future tone...

With Nvidia Terga X1 (Like Nvidia Shield), Nintendo Switch can't realistic than Future Tone. Future Tone must run with Nvidia GTX have Nvdec or not Video Codec will error, Nintendo 3DS have configuration i think lower than iPhone 4S 😁

This PV is just weirdly dystopian in general. It’s eerie seeing Miku interact with these spaces that are clearly intended for lots of people to inhabit at one time, but it only being her and that stupid bunny who is _absolutely_ plotting something evil like murder or tax evasion.

This is exactly one of those songs where the toonshader genuinely works well. Sadly not the case for the entire songlist. I know toonshader is not just a turning a shader on and off because the lighting needs to change a little as well, but I would've liked it if it was optional or something.
I fully agree. There's a handful of songs like this one that look better in the Mega Mix style, but then there's others that just don't work at all. I'm so torn because I really want to love the toony vibe, but it's just too bright for some PVs

@@The.throngler Not true, actually. Just because the toon shader looks simple doesn’t mean it’s easier on the Switch. It still has the normal PV rendered, just with some effects over it. It’s purely a stylistic choice.
@@YuBeace not entirely true, the toon shader makes it so that the skin doesn't have to have any specular or texture on it which makes it slightly easier on the hardware
The cell shading really makes the colors pop in this PV.

This is actually a good lesson in adaptation. Future tone is probably the "perfect" version since in has access to high quality graphics. Megamix is brighter with flat shaders to show up better on the switch screen. DX made miku's head and defining features bigger so they show up better on a small screen. It's easy to criticize them next to eachother at high quality, but all three look pretty good on their home consoles.
Im using a mod which removes the shader and now it looks exactly like future tone

@@freykiva3887 There is a small frame drop when the camera gets close to the character, but it really doesnt affect gameplay, also ive tested this on handheld mode so im sure docked would be better

The chibi choice was interesting, but I definitely set it apart well
it's a 3DS game, i'd say its not that surprising. a full-size miku wouldn't fit on the screen well

Project Diva Megamix uses the Project Diva X version of LOL, which doesn’t have the synth. It makes the song sound awful if you ask me. The Future Tone version is the same as Project Mirai.

@@ScarasRealLover the compromise for cel shading in this pv is so weird though? I am an advocate for cel shading in games but even I know when something used to look better without it. I prefer future tones' because it feels like she's like, Actually There

honestly same like...there's no reason for it really this is the switch it's not the 3DS would it have killed them to have even basic lighting
they really could've done better
i get it's not the ps4 so it can't have ps4 level graphics and performance but i mean they legit just don't have anything close to proper lighting and it really stands out in a bad way
i know we've already got pv performance issues but i feel like some of that is poor optimization especially since theyve literally let a song go through with a pv that moves 1 second faster than the song and it uh definitely shows

ngl I actually like the 'toon' filter in MegaMix. It's a nice touch, and hopefully helps the game run a little better since Switch isn't quite as powerful as ps4. Very eager to see how it plays when the US release makes its way over.

Better yet, let them bring all the modules from X over to FT. Goodness, such amazing modules locked in one game that is mediocre at best.

In my opinion, I really like the PV's in Future Tone and Mega 39. I think the toon shader in Mega 39 works really well for this song, even though the lighting kind of got left out(compared to future tone).

Ok now this is one of those that makes Future Tone amazing the song was first in Mirai and just look at how much better they did it on Future Tone like wow the lighting, the SHINYNESS, the motions and especially the effects

Perhaps it was the limitation of the hardware, but I found it interesting how Mirai did not cut away to other things as much as future tone or Megamix. It preferred longer paning shots.
Also more cut probably equate to more strain to eye due to 3D effects on 3DS

The module and the backdrop are what really got me into it. I tend to focus more on the aesthetics.

It makes sense because shadow is most GPU intensive part.
Not gonna lie, for this song, the toon shading actually works better than the darker shadows on Future Tone! Kind of gets rid of that oddly ominous undertone that all started when that bunny showed up😂 I never thought that the toon shader would be my favorite shading on a song, but here we are! It works so well with this PV!
