  • Is eating only meat healthy? Does a carnivore diet promote weight loss?
Todays guest is Kelly Hogan, a 13 year Carnivore, has an important story that you need to hear because it will help you.
Kelly Hogan struggled with weight her entire life. At age 25, she suffered from frequent boils, weighed 262 pounds, and was at a loss of what more to do. Her family physician saved her life by telling her to avoid carbs and eat meat. She lost 120 pounds, was able to conceive and deliver three children. Her mission for the past 13 years has been to share the same message that was shared with her by her doctor and to offer hope to those that suffer from inflammation, sugar addiction, obesity, and diet-related illnesses.

I’m almost at 90 days carnivore (through the holidays!) with no cheating.
I’ve lost 27 pounds, my joint pain is nonexistent, my mood is greatly improved, my skin is improved, I’ve lost 4 inches around my waist alone. My energy levels are amazing! I was drinking 3-4 energy drinks a day (addicted) prior to carnivore. I sleep better, and for the first time in my life, I can eat in moderation and know when I’m full And naturally stop eating. I’m eating anywhere from 1500-3000 calories a day. Carnivore has absolutely changed my life and I’ve even noticed how much more motivated I am and it’s even helping me become more disciplined in other areas of my life. Thank you so much for this content. One week they thot masks were needed. , but 2;weeks later they look at the history and think MAYBE that mask doesn’t help that much. SO they quit prescribing masks. But then the Covid numbers jumped up even higher , so they said masks are needed. That’s how it goes. They don’t know. They don’t have fact book about this shit. Science isn’t absolute. It changes. My grandfather (who died before I was born), was testified to by my grandmother and father, that he ate mostly fatty meat, butter and some vegetables. Never had alcohol. He was born in 1878, passed away in 1963, after his 5th cardiac event in 5 days. Had time and consciousness to call my dad, grandmother and say his goodbyes, declaring that it was his time to depart and meet his Maker. Peaceful, well aged, a legend in his time, extreme hard worker and pioneer. My grandmother lived to 92, he father, to 96 (and he was 6ft 8in tall. I'm copying their way of life and diet now.

Loose skin and autophagy. Not mentioned is the association between autophagy and sleep \ circadian rhythm. Main autophagy happens for about 4 hours when we are asleep AT NIGHT .after midnight. Best not to eat after 19:00 hours. So you'll realise from that , we are entering a state of fasting. Eating before going to bed including drinking milk prevents autophagy.

Why are the main staples of all long lived healthy cultures high carb foods.
Keto doesn't cure cancer! The exact opposite is true. Eliminating animal protein and refined junk food does kill cancer!
Keto has been known to cause permanent brain damage and heart problems. When Atkins died. It was on the news that his diet killed him. However his wife had enough money and influence to get that news story changed.
      It's still the same.

Most people can't function mentally or physically on Keto more than a couple days.
Then they develop brain fog start to lose muscle and immunity function decreases.
So please research your story. It's not true.

A real rock bottom for me was going to the nail salon with my sisters and I couldn't lift my own legs into the foot bath for my pedicure. I had to hoist myself up into the massage chair and the nail tech had to assist me to get my legs over the edge. It was humiliating. Like Kelly, I suffered with boils on my trunk and legs. I remember drawing a circle around them to see if the red perimeter grew, because I knew sometimes that could indicate MRSA. I got winded getting into bed at night. I did calorie tracking for about a year, but I really saw and felt the difference when I went keto.

Be very careful with your indoor swimming. Because those pools are overflowing with chlorine and the gas from the chlorine. Evaporating into the air is extremely dangerous for us people. Make sure you wear goggles and a swim cap. And you take a good good shower after you're done and don't make it hot. You don't want the chlorine to get any more into your body than already by swimming 1 hour and extremely toxic chlorinated pool.

For your daughter who has tried nothing but fad diets, check out: Dr's Greger, Klaper, Esselstyn, Goldner, Garth Davis, Kim A Williams, Joel Furhman, McDougall, Goldhamer, Lisle, Li, T. Colin Campbell, Kristi Funk, just for starters. Your 6yr old grandson won't have a planet to live on when he reaches his senior years if people keep the demand of animal agriculture up. Research the REAL science before telling your daughter to eat nothing but dead, rotting animal flesh. She didn't get fat because she ate carbs as in potatoes & pasta. It's what's it topped with: the butter, cheeses, cream sauce, meat. It's the fast food, it's the white bread, it's the doughnuts & potato chips, the bacon & deep fried chicken. Check out Jeff Novick's Calorie Density & Dr. Alan Goldhamer's "The Pleasure Trap." Have her check out High Carb Hannah & Plantiful Kiki's stories.

I was vegetarian for 12 years; vegan for the last 6 years before I got ME/CFS. I wasn't able to personally take control of my diet because of the level of my disability. So, I just had to eat whatever anybody else was cooking and that turned out to be a very high protein diet. That was in my mid-thirties. Up to that time I was always severely under-weight and never healthy because I couldn't exercise. Much better since.

From neurological to mental health, this deficiency affects many illnesses.
May take a virus to kick off a really bad illness 8n combination with the affected methylation system.
      Thank you for commenting.

@@Threadbow thanks. I'm disabled with a spinal injury now. I'll never be a glowing picture of health but my underlying health is great for someone who is partially paralysed.
Btw, I was vegetarian/ vegan many years ago when most of that food needed to be cooked from scratch with raw ingredients. So, I did learn a lot about gut health, and combining foods. That's pretty good information, even now. I also stuck to my own funny little intuitive rules about *never eating anything that my grandparents wouldn't have recognised as food* . So, no half-fat foods, no fizzy drinks and no artificial sweeteners. I'd guess that a lot of people who start vegetarianism now might be responding to their bodies crying out for another type of change. If they listen to their bodies, hopefully, they'll be more aware of other changes later. Yes, I did have a lot of B12 shots when I was first ill with ME/CFS but this was back in the days before health professionals acknowledged this as a "real" illness. The only lasting health problem that I have had for nearly 30 years is an underactive thyroid.

I had to develop an entirely new mindset, as if I was "AT WAR with my taste buds". Which one of us really needed to win? The cravings could not conquer the logic. Dr. Berry often said at the end of the fast, "eat until you are stuffed". Being allowed to "eat until I was stuffed" helped me to get the fasting habit going early days.
