  • This video focuses on how to disassemble, clean, refill, and recharge the shocks in my Samsonas club rally suspension! This is not a normal service procedure, and ideally these would be sent back to your distributor for a rebuild service, but there are occasions where you would want or need to do this yourself. With access to a nitrogen tank, this is a procedure that can even be done on-site at a rally.
    Pertinent information:
Fluid- 1-3wt. I've chosen to use 3wt Maxima shock fluid. Link:
    www.amazon.com...
    Pressure specification- 115psi Nitrogen.
You don't want to use a bike pump or similar for this as regular air is going to expand with heat and change the performance of the shock.
Needle kit- I haven't posted a link here because I've cobbled together my regulator, line, and needle kit from a few different sources, but a Google or Amazon search for Shock Needle Kit will turn up a variety of offerings for motorcycle/snowmobile shocks that will suit the bill. Expect to spend between $100-$300 depending on what pieces you might already have available to you.

Thanks for posting these! Are you going to cover any other post race/season maintenance on the car?

Sure. That's less fun, usually. Anything in particular you'd want to see or know?

@@DylanGondyke I'm just curious how stuff like your underbody protection is holding up and other things like brake components, suspension bushings etc.
