🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.
🚄 ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, I’m StarlifeStudios and my passion is to experience and video railway stations across the United Kingdom at both small and large locations, but, with an informative twist! My videos are also designed as a historical reference for the days of the past and to reminisce about the way things were. Join me as I continue to travel and be sure to let me know if you’d like me to video at your favourite or local station. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Is it me or is it rare to see a 12 car 387 on the mainline cause I remember before Thameslink came on the East Coast Mainline you'd get lots of 12 cars going Peterborough or Cambridge and King's Lynn.
No it’s not just you, GN rarely operate anything but 8-car 387s and since the 365s were binned, there is now less stock to spread. Another victim of COVID I’m afraid. Thanks for watching though 🙂
I think it is quite rare actually
Hornsey railway station looks stunning trainspotting location to visit and film trains at. To be honest, I had no idea it is home for the class 717 Great Northern units stored there. Superb :-)
I had actually been keeping an eye on this location for a while and in Spring, Network Rail cleared the vegetation between the lines so that seemed like the best time to go. The buddleia is creeping back though so it wont be long before its overtaken again!
Hornsey is one of the best stations to capture HST’s …. Superb 💯💯💯
Now your making me wish I'd have come here prior to 2019! 👍
Knew it!
It's changed a lot since I lived there
Nice video
Every Horsham - Peterborough services are delayed by up to 10 minutes
I been liking your work on your videos
Thanks Ethan 😃
Nice
Next station idea: Selhurst, or some station on the BML
I like the idea of Selhurst, I'll look into that one 😃
Cool, can't wait for the next video
Amazing video Starlife👏
Thanks KW, glad you enjoy this weeks East Coast video 😃
@@StarlifeStudios 👍
Great video mate
I love your vids
Amazing video! I hope to visit this station soon!
You should! The curves from London are awesome. 😃
@@StarlifeStudios yea indeed! By the way im a big fan of your videos :)
Amazing video as always👍
Thank you ENC 👍
Superb trains and footage. One or two shots I thought wouldn't be possible, like when the Lumo train passes the 717 and you kind of incorporate the 717 as a backdrop for it, clever.
Thanks Northerner, there was quite a bit of planning involved in some of these shots but luck definately had a hand to play!
Great video
Excellent work at Hornsey mate
Many thanks! 😃
Great video 😀👍🏽👀🎉
Thank you 🤗
Great day with train station🚆🚆🚆🚆
Beutiful trains❤❤❤
Can you do a video of a trains at Heathrow Terminal 2.3 please🙂
Lumo Class 803 are my favourite. And Great Northern are now using Class 387/3s to replace the Class 387/2s back to Gatwick Express/Southern.
I'm with you Andrew, Lumo have really done a great job with those 803s. Even though its a simple livery, it seems to work really well on a line dominately by base white liveries. It also helps for variety even if they are Hitachi AT300s! 😃
thameslink, Greater Northern and London Northeastern Railway (LNER) is my favourite 😅😅
Superb 100%
Thank you so much 😀
@@StarlifeStudios :)
13:50 Oof thats a bad time...
and then 14:24 comes...
MEGA OOF
Excellent camera work, shame the ECML in London has barely any decent stock now though.
I'm afraid so Paul, the 91s are our last hope!
@@StarlifeStudios Indeed they are. They should be with us for a little while yet though
Nice vid again. Would like it if you could go to my local station (Greenfield). Not a lot of action there, has decent trains going by. The best time to go is rush hour in the mornings or evenings as that's the busiest time on this route. )The trains go on strike every now and then though)
You should do more please do one at Nottingham station and oh I have been to it many things times
Nice video mate. Good to see 4E39 which conveys Coca Cola bottles and cans. Nice little fact for you. 😁
Thanks for that Ben. I'm sure they'll be plenty of them ready for the christmas period! 😃
❤❤❤❤
Loving the videos, what camera do you use and setup (gimbal)?
Hi Spectrum, this is a Pansonic HC VX1 with no tripod or other equipment (honest)
How do you find out where trains are going? Also, do you know any good places to spot freight trains? I am very interested in them and the overall freight system. If it helps i am located in east anglia, so any local spots would be exellent!
Tamworth Station is a good location for freight traffic because of the WCML and cross country route they use there to travel North and south with container trains on the low level heading towards various destinations such as Felixstowe Trafford Park Ditton Garston and Southampton M.C.T
@@DanielMartin-zf2xe sounds interesting, will have to go there some time!
@@toxic765 it's worth a visit for freight spotting I once filmed over 30 freights in about 9 hours theres also multiple different locomotives that pass the station you've got class 66s 90s 70s
RealTimeTrains is my main source of information for these visits. Most the east coast mainline is quiet for freight during the day but generally speaking I like; Acton Bridge, Barnetby, Doncaster, Stafford, Kensington Olympia, Denmark Hill. In your area I would also consider Stowmarket and Westerfield but Ipswich is good for locos too. Have fun! 😊
I totally forgot about Ipswich! I would imagine the Ipswich-Felixstowe line is full of freight. But I never considered Stowmarket or Westerfield, all of them will be worth a visit sometime and if I ever find myself in London I’ll be searching around for good freight locations! Thanks for all your good help! 😄
like how do you get a half an hour late
9J34 31 mins late!!!??? Great video as always 👍🏽
Could you do a video at Reading?
Starlife has been to Reading
@@maimadha yes that's why I want him to go again
💯 agree
@@duainesimpson274 I've got a station with Reading in its name coming soon 😃
@@StarlifeStudios is the station going to be Reading West?
23:05 4 car 180?
How good is internet on that platform?
I did not note any issues with Internet here. It was suitable for browsing and social apps.
@@StarlifeStudios is it free tho ?
Anyone else notice that at 23:04 that 180107 had only 4 carriages?
yep, now it's lengthened to 5 coaches, but idk why it was 4; also 180110 is the only 4 coach train as of now
You should record videos in 60fps
Hi David, Thanks for your suggestion, I will consider 60fps in the near future but I currently do not see it as something most of my viewers are looking for. I'm sure you can also appreciate that the equipment is expensive.
