I can't stress enough to remind people to save their presets. This can save you a lot of time and also, help you remember and rediscover techniques you used before but might have forgotten about

big facts man, i lost more presets than i could count 💔💔

I agree but I found out that when you save presets you tend to go the easy way and pull up old presets too often, someway killing the creativity

      YES! I have semi-
dead harddrive with over 400 presets for hive. :(

Such an informative video, that's to me probably the most fun part about sound design, finding my way gradually to a sound that suits the track. It's always a bit of discovery!

Projektor, you described exactly the sound design process that came to me naturally by instinct. I feel it worth mentioning that more often than not, the compositional inspiration emerges from the sound design as I play around in the piano roll to hear different ways that I can apply the patch in the context of a song. Sometimes a riff, melody, or an entire section practically writes itself as I tweak the patch and add more movement.

Yeah, that is a really nice approach to alleviate the fear of beginning. Keep an eye out I will share my philosophy about sound design soon. Thanks for the video !! :D

TBH. Learning with Serum, Vital, PP is far more easy, because of the visualizations, the different parameters working.

yeah visualizing is is always a good way to learn. but you can use external analyzers for that too if you need those

i would like to point out that the trial-and-error approach is good not only in sound design, but in every aspect of our lives
you never know until you try experimenting is the key
