These guys have won over 1,000 awards together and as soloists as well not to mention been nominated 5 times for the grammys first kpop group to do so. This is an original song from BTS. Oh nts fans are called Army were amazing and so diverse from ages and races as well. They made Dynamite, Butter and Permission to dance as well they made these songs during the pandemic to help many of us Army's through it and feel happier.

You might have heard parts of this song, Dynamite in a MacDonald's commercial as they had a BTS meal with Chicken Nuggets with spicy Korean hot sauce. They were in the commercial, too! The 3 songs they recorded in English were released during the pandemic to raise peoples' spirits. Dynamite was written by Ed Sheeran. The other two songs were Butter (which they performed at last year's Grammys) and Permission to Dance. They have made MV of many different renditions of Butter, which are fun to watch.
The sweet-faced one with the double earrings (which a few of them wear as fashion items) is indeed male and his name is Jimin. He's an amazing dancer, having trained in contemporary, then hip hop, etc. He has a black belt in Taekwondo and practiced Kendo (with bamboo poles and swords) for 8 years. He also learned a form of Chinese martial arts. Fans know that he is cute, but he could probably kill you with his bare hands! LOL! These skills have added to his incredible performances on stage of flips and his amazing flexibility.
All the members are presently serving in the South Korean army for 18 months. The last two to go, after releasing their solo albums, were Jimin (age 28), and Jungkook (the youngest at 26). Check out the solo albums and songs they each have written and produced, each in their own personal style. They are a truly amazing group of performers who dance hard and actually sing while doing it (they practice by singing while running on treadmills!). Have fun exploring BTS and each of the members solo works! ARMY (their fan base) will guide you if you ask! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

BTS is in a league of their own. They are not Kpop they have their own genre. They work very hard to give their fans the best performances. BTS puts out music that means something to them and their fans. Dynamite, Butter, and Permission to Dance are feel good songs to cheer up their fans during the Covid pandemic. They missed performing for them and wanted to bring joy to ARMY in this depressing time. They write music that makes a positive impact in peoples lives. They are all about loving yourself and acceptance. Their songs range from the injustices of society, mental illness, discrimination, and more. Everyone of them is unique and multitalented. What you see is what you get type of guys who are the most humble and appreciative of their fans and their success. Their fan base ranges from teens to the elderly. Their highest fans base I believe are from the thirties to forties. They also have a large men fan and global celebrity fan base. They are the pentacle in music. 👍👍🐯👑🐻🫶✌️💜♥️💜♥️💜 BORAHAE

If you want to check out how versatile they are I recommend BTS Room Live Festa 2021. It’s a medley of their bside songs. It’s 🔥. Dynamite was played in the radio plenty of times. It was also played on commercials. So you probably heard it before. BTS is known for the lyricism. Their lyrics have deep meaning. They write and produce their own music. Also the guys do grow facial hair. They sometimes show it. But K-pop is more clean cut.

Yes. This is the fastest way to get an intro to their work. Small snippets of multiple songs done in a very tasteful way.
You will get the answers you were looking for.
Doing random songs one by one may misguide you into their generic commercial stuff when they are so much more than that

Nobody stole this song. 😁 You probably heard it somewhere, it was on the charts for weeks, it was on the radio, on the TV, on commercials, everywhere. 😂 They had 3 English language songs coming out during the pandemic, all 3 of them like this. Upbeat, funny, light-hearted, just to cheer up their fans. Most of their songs are heavy, even the ones that sound fun have heavy lyrics and social commentary.

As an Idol in South Korea, you are not allowed to have facial hair, and facial hair is frowned upon in general. This song was huge. Number One on American charts for weeks. It was everywhere. This song was written for the pandemic and is not indicative of their music. They started as a hip-hop group. 3 rappers and 4 singers.
Tell us what kind of music you like and we can guide you. Start with ON Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima, Mic Drop, Black Swan, Fake Love, Fire.
I actually think the gentleman in the red hat would love Jungkook's solo single Standing Next To You, it's an homage to MJ and disco funk.

you should definetly react to Black Swan by BTS. it s a deep song talking about the fear of loosing their passion for creating music (almost all their songs are made by them). you'll definetly like it. if not, they basicaly have any genre of music. they have wide range in what they talk to in their songs, from love to social justice to mental health and everything you can think of. And to answer your question, in their culture, usually only older men let their beards grow and on the plus side they also have high standards of beauty for both men and women, looking as young as possible and having clear skin is a goal for them, also the BTS members are seen as really attractive globally.

I think part of what’s going on with how you’re perceiving things is that K-pop isn’t a genre, it’s an industry, so you’ll find different genres under that umbrella. BTS plays a lot with genre and has such a diverse catalogue of music. I was honestly shocked when I started getting into them.
Dynamite is doing exactly what they wanted it to - it’s making you smile.
And watch until the end! Sometimes it’s actually super important.

Thank you for listening sorry you get attack hope it was not army . we are bts army and bts has substance unfortunately the guys in the white and orange did make sense and the reason why ts is the biggest group they cannot be compare to black pink. and he is right bts dont just sing about lala they have substance to their music. this is one of their fun song to help pople through the pandemic. so it is a bit poppy but most of their songs are real life issue and they sing and rap i hope you guys really check them out. the reason you will get attack by army is because most people make judgemental comment off fun song and they do not really check out their real stuff. black pink is in no way near shape or form comparable to bts. please check out their real stuff. like a live performance magic shop by bts. go to bangtan tv. and put on the caption most of it is in korean.

Thank you for reacting to them. You know, I am an American too. My great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee. It’s the DNA that determines facial hair, skin color, eye color, stature etc. DNA however does not determine your character. BTS have had their share of discrimination and prejudice toward them yet all they’ve ever done is share their positive energy to the world. These gentlemen are more than just a band. They have spoken at the United Nations, the White House, received cultural merit awards and given diplomatic passports from their own government. Partnered with Unicef to stop child neglect and that’s just for starters. The lyrics they write come from their own hearts and go beyond anything I’ve ever seen. They deserve all the love in this world.

  • @SnapCracklyPop
    @SnapCracklyPop Před 4 měsíci +29

BTS write and pride themselves in writing and producing their own music. One of the major reasons why they are legends. The other group you mentioned do not. This particular song was actually pitched to them in the middle of the pandemic in 2020, not the usual. Everything sucked that year, people suffering/dying, lockdown, George Floyd, political unrest, etc, but because BTS actually felt good and happy at first listen (they themselves were depressed too), they decided to record it to spread the joy and lift the spirits of the world. But the reason we are fans are the music that they wrote and produced before Dynamite. Their roots are in hip-hop since the beginning, but because they are music lovers and versatile, they incorporate other genres/musical elements into their music and they’re all good at it. So Dynamite is a one off and so are the next two English songs they did after it, because their purpose for those is to bring light/positivity the during the pandemic.

Okay- BTS fans are called ARMY. We are a strong and intense group of people- however, we understand the journey it takes to change a person’s understanding of global music and other cultures. So most ARMY are patient while reactors stumble thru some uncomfortable preconceptions.
For example, please know that OBJECTS are oriental, people are not- they come from Asian countries so if you need to group them - they are Asian not Orientals. The facial hair, gender misidentify, and chronic blurring of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cultures are hopefully things you overcome as you learn from all the meaningful comments ARMY will hopefully leave you as you explore BTS.
BTS has a huge discography of group and solo work and they have quite literally THE underdog story of popular music.
Be open minded, understand that their lyrics, production, choreography, and videos are the first class of ANY country- not just South Korea…. They have music in so many genre’s it is astonishing- R&B, HipHop, Rap, Pop, Latin Pop, EDM, Ballad, Jazz- you name it.
Oh, yeah- and the only thing better than their music videos and albums? Their live performances. Watch those for what it really means to experience the group or the solo members.
Finally, in case you are wondering- while my 7 year old goddaughter loves BTS, I’m 50 and obsessed. This fandom has men, women, teens, seniors, Americans, Europeans, Africans, Indonesians, Asians, every background and age, culture and demographic.
Welcome to the rabbit hole- ARMY will support you as you watch 45 min videos, explanation videos, rewind to catch the lyrics, gawk over the visuals- be sincere and we will be here.
    💜

BTS is bigger than the next ten kpop groups in sales, concert venues, numbers and awards. If you heard this song before, you probably didn't even realize you were listening to BTS. I think you choose wrong to start out with watching BTS. This group has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. If you want to start out you should review Dope, Mic Drop, ON, Ddaeng. Also check out the rap line. RM's Joke, Agust D aka Daechwita and J Hope's Arson. This group also writes and produces their own songs and their live shows are superior to any western artist today.

This song was huge. It was and is everywhere. It’s an original. BTS is the biggest group globally not just KPop. They released the as an all English song during COVID for their fans in Western market. It is a light hearted song. Another big hit in western market is Butter which was nominated for a Grammy. If you want to know who they are, watch the guide to BTS/Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. BTS sings all kinds of genres and has a huge discography. Their lyrics and songs are amazing, their choreography is some of the best in the industry. They sing live while doing heavy choreography. They also have solo work. They are crazy talented. We their fans are crazy loyal. We love them. They are the whole package.

I think you can't compare bp to bts XD bp don't write their songs but bts do. BTS are producers, composers, songwriters and they have the largest number of korean music copyright credits (over 200 for RM the leader of bts) Dynamite was the hugest song in summer 2020 it was all over america and internationally. You couldn't go to the mall or walmart without hearing it and I live in canada lol Dynamite will always lift up anyone's mood and it certainly did during the pandemic!
    My recommendations:
    RM - Wildflower
    J-Hope - Arson
    Agust D - Daechwita
    Jin - The Astronaut
    Jimin - Set Me Free
    V - Love Me Again
Jungkook - Standing Next to You and the remix with Usher

LOL! Please don’t compare BTS to other groups. They are beyond KPop. They pave the way for KPOP. Dynamite is not the best introduction to BTS. Their 3 English songs were released during the heights of the global pandemic to send positive vibes to their fans across the globe. Please react to MIC DROP, FAKE LOVE, BLACK SWAN, ON, IDOL, FIRE, DOPE, BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS. Also if you want to know more about the members, please react to THE GUIDE TO BTS by Taylor Mari. And just because you don’t see facial hair doesn’t mean they have no facial hair. They do. It’s just that the standard of beauty in KPop is different from the west and these 7 men don’t age. LoL! They are all in their 30s, mid and late 20s but they look way younger than the western men their age. LOL! By the way, there is no girl in the group. The one you thought was a girl is Park Jimin. The global IT boy, King of Kpop and the Face of Dior and Tiffany. LOL!Thanks a lot.

Dynamite is the first of their English trilogy. The other 2 are butter and permission to dance. It was released during the pandemic so it was supposed to be happy poppy song.
Their English trilogy is not the best representative of their music. Their Korean song usually have deep lyrics and sometimes requires explanation videos to understand.
As a 52yo mother who experienced the music since the 70's, BTS is my favorite artist. I was introduced to BTS by my teenage daughters. I actually don't have any criteria when it comes to music. If I like what I hear, then I like. No other reason. I do give chance to other kpop (and still do with every new release) but their music doesn't talk to me. There may be some that I like but it's not something I wanna listen to all the time.
BTS actually covers multiple genres and their discography is extensive. If you want to glance through what kind of sound they have, I'll leave a link to a compilation of their most streamed songs on Spotify. The compilation includes group song, sub group, solo and collabs with other artist.

Being a American 59 year old Army I’ve found these seven young men to be very talented! There are 3 rappers and four vocalist! They are each uniquely different in the way they sound but amazing all together! They fit! You started with their very first all English song that only came about due to Covid! This song garnered their first number 1 on the Billboard 100 as well as their first Grammy Nomination. Then you have Butter that broke Dynamites record and garnered their second #1 on the Billboard as well as 2nd nomination for Grammy! Although I love these songs I prefer all their older songs more!

This is not the best song to introduce you to BTS. This song, as well as Dynamite, and Permission to Dance, are mainstream "pop" songs released during the pandemic. They were intended to be feel good songs during a very dark period of time. They're not at all representative of the depth and diversity of BTS discography over the past 10 years. As someone mentioned below, you should watch the MV of Mic Drop and then ON - Kenetic Manifesto. Both are more edgy. I'm positive you will enjoy them.

Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as this is probably the most "typical" song they've released (they just wanted to share good vibes during covid and make people smile). So yeah Dynamite is good but it's about 5% of what they can do. 😊
I'm probably not qualified enough to write a proper introduction on who these gentlemen are but basically BTS is a group that has, no lie, the widest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you might enjoy less.
Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. BTS are pionniers in some way and have a totally different story. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. They literally are the one who paved the way for Kpop artist out of Korea. But BTS isn't number one group "as far as K-Pop", they're the number one group in the world period, without question and that is NOT me saying it. Their numbers and the dedication are unmatched. 😊
To make it short, there are 3 rappers and 4 singers. Before debuting, two of them were underground rappers and another two of them were dancers. And on top of being amazing rappers, singers and dancers ; BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a lane of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. Plus, they have one of the strongest bond with their fans (called the BTS Army) and they just reciprocate all the love they receive from us and even more.
That being said, I hope you react to more of them ! 😃
Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first started watching their stuff (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. One of the most complete (and amazingly made) guide is : "A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7" (by Taylor Mari). Hope you'll react to it ! In any case, enjoy the journey !!

Thank you for giving BTS a listen! BTS MIC DROP next! BTS has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and have been on the music scene for 10 years.
BTS is on a "pause" as they serve their mandatory military duty in South Korea. BTS will reunite in 2025 and their fandom called ARMY is anxiously awaiting their return. Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance are all English songs created to cheer everyone up around the world during the pandemic. K Pop male idols are usually very clean shaven and wear idol men's make-up when performing, and fans are here for it!
Please keep in mind that when any Korean Popular music is sung with lots of lalalas, ooohs, and ahhhs, these wonderful idols want people around the world to sing along, even if we don't speak their language. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I'm not supposed to laugh but the way these two are walking around eggshells is hilarious. Seriously guys, you can calm down. If you have questions, just ask nicely and the fandom (BTS ARMY)will answer you comprehensively. A word of caution though, sometimes we do have the tendency to vomit out information about BTS out of sheer enthusiasm. That can be a little overwhelming to newbies like you but no pressure, take things at your own pace and the fandom will patiently guide you.

I like that you got the meaning of the song right away. It was meant as an uplifting song for BTS's fans (ARMY), and the world, and this was during the pandemic. This was their first Billboard #1 Hot 100 song.
First, my husband is part Korean and can't grow facial hair very well, so maybe that's a thing, but in this case, In South Korea, the beauty standard for men in the entertainment industry, mainly K-Pop, is not to grow facial hair. That's all I will say on that topic. But thanks for taking the time to look it up.
No worries about thinking JIMIN might be a girl. He has a very high vocal register, and his features are delicate. But he is very much a guy.

Okay. Let’s be honest. You can be a man and not have a beard :) you can be a man and have beard ;) you can be a man and be beautiful :) you can be a man and accept people in all forms. It’s good to see you guys reacting to them but also it’s gonna appear more polite if you do a little background check too, I mean only if you plan on reacting to them further. They’re not the mainstream K-pop group they’re definitely steps ahead which tells a lot about the awards and domination they’ve shown on charts. They’ve got intense songs, their rap line .. if you don’t like them you’re jealous of them.. they’re more than just musicians.. they’re geniuses .. they write compose sing rap their own songs. As an army I hope you ain’t attacked like that.. you’re free to react the way you want to.. you could like BTS .. you could not like them.. it’s just respect comes first. I liked your reaction guys. You can react to many other hits of theirs to get a better understanding of their music : 1) butter 2) black swan 3) fake love 4) UGH 5) life goes on 6) permission to dance 7) blood sweat and tears … there are so many!

💜🇧🇷💜BTS 51 years old Army from Brazil. I always listen to a lot American music, all kinds of styles, and BTS has my heart sense the first time, not only they talented, writes, produces and composes their own songs and are the best in choreography and singing from rap, hip pop, pop, ballad, Latin and so much more styles but, they all so funny and amazing human beings and always engaging with Army ( fan base ) and their songs brings happiness and other times talks about loving yourselves and social issues and bullying, helps people with depression, that so much more and ARMYs coming from all ages, different races, different religions, all around the globe and does the same as BTS, gets together to help with different causes and does donations, plant trees and help each other and we are not prejudice. Thank you so much for giving them a chance. Hopefully we will see lots more about the group and, they all have solo songs as well , in case you interested in checking them out, RM ( Rap Monsters), Suga ( AgustD) and JHope are the rappers, Jin, Jimin, V and JK are the vocalists. 💜💜thanks again!!! All the members has different styles, but all so talented individuals on their own.💜

You can't judge BTS' music by this one song. This song was created during covid as a light bop to cheer up their fans. Do you like rap? Check out anything by Agust D (SUGA of BTS). Do you like R&B? Check out "Singularity" or "Stigma" by V. Do you like ballads? "Epiphany" by Jin or "Hate You" by Jungkook. 80's funk? "Standing Next to You" by Jungkook. This is just their solo work and the tip of the iceberg! I suggest you watch "This is BTS" by xCeleste or one of the other videos available on CZcams. There a reason they're the biggest group in the planet right now! You just need to make an honest effort to discover why. Thank you for your reaction. Just give them a chance. You won't be disappointed! 💜

9:01 Generally in asian entertainment especially for Kpop stars aren’t allowed to grow out facial hair b/c it makes much older since their set target was more their local youth generations who are seriously picky but over time they’ve adopted all age fans but some cant even grow facial hair; so it’s their fault. Of course, the rule doesn’t apply to actors.

BTS have the biggest fandom and are the number 1 group in the world. The aren't kpop anymore because they make so many diverse genres of music. And yes Koreans can grow facial hair. In the "idol" industry, that's what some artist in South Korea are called, they need to look always perfect and beautiful. So that's the reason BTS members shave their facial hair and wear makeup. Some males in Korea wear makeup, it's just part of their culture. And some don't. But especially idols wear makeup on stage, photo shoots and work events.

Nice reaction guys. I don't feel like you guys are being racist, you're just expressing your doubts. It is logical since it is your first interaction with kpop. Kpop artists are called idols in Korea. Their beauty standards, especially in male idols, are completely different from those of pop artists in America. They must look impeccable, with extravagant costumes, hair of different colors, without facial hair and with makeup, yes, makeup.... Don't be surprised to see male Kpop artists with makeup, some very heavy. But that's an important part of the kpop movement. Please keep reacting to BTS, they are truly extraordinary and you will surely find a lot of music to your liking in the vast collection of their content (Rap, hipo hop, R & B, Ballada, including Rock). Greetings from Mexico.

BTS released 3 English songs during COVID that were all upbeat and meant to cheer their fans up. However, their Korean songs are much deeper with more meaningful lyrics. They started out in 2013 as pure hip hop but their music changes all the time-- pop, edm, straight rap, soul, latin pop, ballad..... The list is amazing.. You never know what to expect from them. I also suggest that you watch their 2021 festa room live as a previous commenter recommended. It's a medley from their early days to more recent music. And all B sides.

    Solo stuff:
J-hope: more, arson, on the street with j-cole
Suga/Agust-D: amygdala, hageum, deschwita, burn it, people, moonlight,
RM: wildflower, persona, joke, forever rain
Jungkook: still with you, euphoria, seven, standing next to you, stay alive
Jimin: set me free pt. 2, lie, like crazy, serendipity
V: tiny desk performance, slow dancing, singularity, love me again
    Jin: the astronaut, epiphany, moon,
They definitely grow facial hair but it isnt on trend there now unlike in the west.

You are right, Dynamite is an optimistic song. They released this just to cheer people up during the first year of COVID.
DO NOT dova side-by-side comparison. That is a sure-fire way to lose subscribers.

Please check out more of their music. I promise you won’t be disappointed. There are 3 rappers (real rappers who write their own verses) and 4 vocalists. Each can hold their own as soloists (all are able to write, compose, and produce) and have distinct styles so their music is very diverse and spans multiple genres and languages (Korean, Japanese and English). Lyrics are usually deeper and/or more layered than they seem at first glance and the themes are much more broader than the typical “romantic love”. (Self reflection/learning to know yourself AND love yourself and their deep connection to their fans and to each other are the main ones but they also cover mental health, socioeconomic issues, grief, etc.). ON (Kinetic Manifesto Film showcases the choreography) and Black Swan are different in style but yet “connected”. One speaks of their fear of losing their passion for music (likely do to exhaustion and the stress/pressure of reaching “the top”) and the other to their determination to face the negative aspects of fame/success head on and keep doing what they love.
