Team Jeremiah because I relate to his character more. Also, Jeremiah character grew the most over this season.
I know people say it's only been 3 days but you have to remember Belly and feelings for Jeremiah last summer too. After their first kiss Belly told Taylor that it was real and real scared her, during this season she says the same thing to Jeremiah that she wants something real. She always deamt of Conrad but now the dream is over snd she knows Jeremiah is real, wont run away from her, fight for her and never hide how he feels.
my biggest problem with Conrad in this show is the fact he started a relationship with a 16 yr old and then seems shocked when she is incredibly immature. Like duh. Don’t be someone’s first actual relationship if you can’t handle the fact they are going to be a little dumb sometimes

I think when is Belly saying she'll never love anyone like Conrad, she meant she'll never fall in love in a way that consumes her entirely and she makes her whole world revolve around another person [conrad] because she doesn't wanna be in a relationship anymore where she's the one chasing after someone constantly and begging for their attention!!!!
I feel like the fact that Belly loved Conrad from the time she was little meant that she didn’t love the real him, she loved this idealized version of him that she invented. I think the first half of season 2 is Belly realizing that boyfriend Conrad isn’t what she thought it would be. At times he made her feel loved and safe but the next moment he’d make her feel alone, insecure, and unloved. Conrad’s a complex character who is going through a lot, he’s not the fairy tale that belly made him out to be.
I think the second half of the season is her realizing that Jere is real, that he makes her happy, and makes her feel safe and loved and that the dream of Conrad isn’t what she needs.
In a way she’s letting go of her childhood by walking away from Conrad to something real with Jeremiah. And it’s a different kind of love, one that’s grounded in reality, which is why it’s different than what she felt for Conrad, and why she won’t love anyone the way she loved Conrad. I know a lot of fans disagree but I actually think she’s moved on from Conrad at the end of season 2.

although shes walked away from conrad , her actions to jere and the scene where they kissed by conrads car , where belly expresses her thoughts to jere , shows that jere is always second option. between conrad and jere , jere is better , but belly will always go back to conrad in some way. how she cheated on him in s1 says the most about how she feels , and even during susannahs death belly forgot about jere , and mainly focused on conrad in s2 and her feelings (for eg xmas dinner and holding conrads hand)despite knowing she hurt jere.
jere deserves someone who loves him how he loves belly - who loves him to the extent of forgiving belly time and time again when it came to cheating , forgetting about him, and even how she said she wanted reality right after expressing her love for conrad. (paraphrase- ''my whole life i wanted conrad..'') when he knows himself he deserves more.
I agree with pretty much everything you said here, but sadly I think she's still gonna end up with Conrad even though logically it really makes no sense. The way they ended Season 2 makes any further love triangle drama in Season 3 just seem forced. She genuinely didn't seem bothered by Conrad in this last episode at all and clearly chose Jeremiah even after he admitted he still wanted her. If Belly and Conrad didn't have such a strong fanbase from the books I think they'd actually change the ending to have her end up with Jere instead, because it just fits the plot and narrative so much more, but at this stage I just can't see it happening.

@@MysticVV I’m not looking forward to the character assassination of Jeremiah next season. I’ve only skimmed the books, but his actions in the third book definitely do not seem like something show Jeremiah would do and I hope they change the storyline. Even if they still decide to have Belly and Conrad end up together I hope they find a different reason for Jere and Belly to break up.
I’m not hopeful though, they already had Susannah mix up the letters this season, setting up that moment next season

@@demiqodsI don't get why everyone goes to the books all the time especially when Jenny has changed so much from the books and has admitted in tons of interviews that the book and the show are different. She also says the thing she hates most about shows is knowing what's going to happen and she loves keep people guessing. Now do I think she will change it most likely not but you never know.
