Returning stolen Ashanti Crown gold ornament as loons? what utterly ridiculously nonsensical, what an insult, totally nonsense
These thieves have no shame. Loaning looted objects back to their rightful owners? How incredible and unbelievable this is!
I am from Britain, I hope Africa and Ghana get all their stolen history back forever.
Even if they loan it back to us the elders of the Asante kingdom will not allow those items to return back to the UK.
@@elormsewornu2774 I hope so
This is not a disrespect to only the Asante Kingdom but entire black history.
The Western has never felt remorse for what they have done to black people, from killing our forefathers to human trade separating us with borders and more.
Black people has always be in a victim and no compensations has been paid to us.
It has been clearly stated that the items were looted. So why do they have to loan it to us and why Asantehene also agreed to this?
Black people hmmm
Do not expect your oppressor to make decisions of your benefit, that is why you should throw the story book called Bible away because those that introduce this to you are not acting on your interest, their agenda was to come , deceive and colonise your mind. TROW THAT BOOK AWAY!
oh here we go , its all about the grift, it always comes down to how much free stuff you can blag doesnt it. Get some self respect and stop being a victim, it happened 200 years ago, it didnt happen to you personally did it! Oh and "no compensation has been paid to us"? what do you call all the free aid? all the free food, the tons of money we loan you that never gets paid back? Billions and billions every year gets poured into africa! You dont like the current borders of your countries? Get together and change them then! And as for slavery it was your forefathers that sold each other into slavery and still do today! Stop blaming westerners from 200 years ago for the state of your countries today!
The Asante kingdom today is an extension of neocolonial agency. This act is just meant to divide Ghanaians
@@samwise4573 These has positive outcome than what you think.
Have you ever think about the revenue that come with it if we have gotten it permanently to the country.
These segregational thoughts are what has left Africa where we are today. The whites saw that we don’t love ourselves as blacks people and he used that against us till date.
He’s still using us as an element of destruction to destroy us.
The fall of the Ashanti Empire was not by the British Soldiers but the used black soldiers from the same West Africa to destroy West Africa and Africa as a whole
Divide Ghanaians ?? How @@samwise4573
These thieves will never learn. How can you stole and loot our things and later tell me you want to loan it to me the right owner? Wicked people
Ghana is Ashanti
Kudos Ivor
Isn't this so amazing how these small golds and objects are not allowed to be given out freely, but our leaders stoll to date, allow all our minerals to be mined with just 10 per cent? Are these leaders not mad and animals?...
Please animals are not mad. Animals are very wise......
I have attempted to post this story on Facebook, and they will not allow it...stating that it goes against its "community standards". Incredible....🤨
Agreement is agreement!
Anyway Who went in to sign those agreements? Foolish deals always has one winner. How can I loot you and give back your property on loan? Who agreed to that?
Nonsense. You’re saying it does not belong to Ghana. Eiii mother Ghana
The law was made by the same thieves.
This is just a definition of madness
What about all the stolen gold and diamonds
Looting refers to the act of stealing goods, typically during a time of chaos, such as riots, war, or natural disasters. It involves unlawfully taking property from a place, often with disregard for the consequences or rights of others.
"Loaning" typically refers to the act of lending something, usually money, to someone else with the expectation that it will be repaid, often with interest. It's a formal agreement where one party (the lender) provides funds or resources to another party (the borrower) under specific terms and conditions.
So economic rationale supersedes moral reasoning for accepting these deals. Wow, Ghana could not have stood any lower than this.
The british attitude is extremely insulting. What type of law justifies theft?
Is there a King in Ghana? 😅😃😅 envy and jealousy
As we are condemning these people we have to also credit the UK Museums for keeping these relics. They could have sold it or anything worst could have happened
They benefits millions of pounds out of it.
@@mensahtony1 you have a point too
Pls go to manhyia museum before u say anything that will put bad image on our leaders u may sell it
You sell a stolen item? Both the buyer and the seller pays the price!!
Bro, did we tell these thieves we did not have a safe place to keep these items???
What a load of rubbish! If the items were not kept properly, would they find it to steal them? They kept it because they made so much money from the items. Why don't they create their own artifacts? Because they have none! Their history is all about pillaging other people's things.
Those days anything acquire through war is 100% for the claimer . same as lands captured through war and now the conquerers are the owners of the lands . it makes this issue not different . In other words British are the owners of the artifacts now . and returning it on a loan is just to show a sign and bond of peace. Nothing serious to this.
Very true
Nana Addo will surely take import duties 😂😂
Oh ,oh there we go again,Oh Oman Ghana, with there are tribalism, its thats not belong to Oman Ghana but who thats it belong too tell me
These artifacts should be paraded round the country from region to region, starting from the Volta region to be blessed by Togbe Sri
Because of what? Starting from the Volta region to where exactly? Go for your own from the Germans and parade them!
Loan means the current Asantehene can not sell them like he's sold most of their gold to private people. Good job UK
You were his secretary when he was selling the other jewelleries? You just open your mouth and be spewing out rubbish! You think any king of Sikadwa can just come and sell artifacts and precious things of the Kingdom? You have no idea what you are saying and you are there just talking? You think the kings can just come and sell things that are older than them?

Useless talk! Ivor
You see Ghanaian leaders, we talking about important stolen artifacts and the negotiator is talking about money they can make out of this deal,
Masa Masa your explanation doesn't help they should give them back. Law sen 🤔🤔🤔
I am an Asante, emotionally I wish we could have these precious artefacts back. But, truthfully, Spoils of war belongs to the victor. This practice is as ancient as the beginning of the world. Spoils of war are not looted items, rather, rewards of war. We as a people, must learn from history NEVER to repeat.
Joshua 22:8
saying, “Return to your homes with your great wealth-with large herds of livestock, with silver, gold, bronze and iron, and a great quantity of clothing-and divide the plunder from your enemies with your fellow Israelites.”
Do you know the meaning of WAR IN THIS SCENARIO: am impressed you are explaining war here colloquially!!
Why were the Jewish treasures and gold looted by Germans during the War were returned to them ? Germany was made to pay for war cost during world War 1.
@@francispimpong227
History tells us, the British and the Ashantis were involved in 5 encounters called the Anglo-Ashanti war. Am not explaining. Am stating the obvious.
Fool: learn before you write anything on the Internet. During world war two, Jewish properties and items that were looted by Germans were returned the Jews. The Nuremberg court decreed that all properties and items of the Jews belonged to the Jews and were returned to them.
I am an Asante as well. Occupying forces cannot use international law to excuse their thievery. We never asked them to colonize us. They imposed themselves on us.
If the German loot of Jewish items were considered stolen goods and returned to the Jews, why are those looted by British colonialists considered differently? Because it is African ?
Let them loan them to us and see if they will ever go back again!
Ashanti King is Grand Freemason and does not have any power for the Ashanti heritage. When it comes festivities and dethrone Chiefs he good at that but comes the British it just joke! He happy to play games with the Ashanti nation! How about the families who have asking to return their family heirloom?! I cannot believe that Prempeh I doesn't have families who are not interested in their father's legacy at best. These families are hurt and are financial suffering from this tragic history. The currently King collects money which should be compensated to the estate of Prempeh I. Why is Kusmasi poor?!! and subservient to all kinds useless foreign goods! The agricultural is so underdeveloped and no real ownership of the value of what it's worth! Where is all the money going! To Bronze statues of himself whilst the people are hungry.
It seems you are empty headed talk as a human ok
