- From the "Dirt" album and one of my favorite tracks. I love Sean Kinney's unique style. He has a groove that seems to lag in the music holding back the beat and making it up on the fills. I find it hard to emulate and seem to rush over his timekeeping. Her's my version of the band classic "Would"
- Hudba
Great work! Drumming this song like Kinney always was difficult to me
Great performance, Mike! Drum sounds are incredible and playing was right on the money!
Thanks so much brother! I appreciate the support from a fellow Rock drum master!
One of the only guys on CZcams who has a powerful drum sound. I love it.
Thanks man👍🤘
Ok, so now I’m a Fournier fan! Great job!
Appreciate that Bro!
Brilliant drumming Mike! Love the sound of those deep toms 👌 Outstanding production as usual. Dig all your camera angles and editing. Bravo man!
WOW, maybe my all time favorite Alice song. Nah, scratch that, it IS my favorite. And you've done Shawn proud!!🤘🤘
Thank you Kevin! You should do a cover from the Dirt album! There can never be enough AIC on YT 😆
Oh man! Excellent drumming on this 90s classic! I agree that this album is their best! High caliber performance! Great rocking throughout and quality video and sound!
Thanks brother dawg! I love the unique drum sound they produced on this album. Peace my friend!
Holy shit that's a hard song to play to! You nailed it, brother!
Awesome man, really powerful drum sound... thunderous
Great song and cover!Love me some AIC! You killed it man!
Nice. Great Song & Band. Well done my good dude. Sean is an amazing drummer. R.I.P. Layne & Mike 🤘🤘
RIP indeed. Such a sad story about great musicians. Unfortunately it’s all too common in this industry. Sean almost joined them from what I have seen in interviews...Thanks for the support bro!
Once again, great cover man! 👍
What a pleasure, as it always is, to see you doing what you love, and you just rule this Mike! Your timing, feel and interpretation is 100% on point and so dynamic! You truly ROCK ! Inspiring me to do a video soon. Keep on cooking my friend!
Thanks brother! Been missing your contributions to the community!
Awesome song choice, awesome playing and awesome kit and sound! You can count me as a new subscriber! Keep in touch man!
Awesome cover man. This is one of my favorite Alice in Chains songs. You nailed it. Rock on man! \m/
Sean Kenney. Man what a great drummer. I'm a huge AIC fan Mike. You killed this one 🤘🤘
He’s got a unique sound and style all his own. Much like any great drummer from an even greater band! These drummers have all influenced my playing over the years which is why I respect so many musicians for what they bring to the table
Awesome!
Love all the grunge everyone's covering!!! This was AMAZING. Nice cameras sound and video ty for sharing w us 👍💜🎼🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🥁🔥🤘
Hey thanks for the feedback! AIC RIP
@@mfournier01 yes rip Layne💜🤘
Excellent performance!
Powerful drumming on such a dark but cool tune. Good going Mike.
I dig all your camera angles and how the video coloring changes.
The 90s was a fertile time in pop/rock music.
Hey thanks Sal! You were the only one to comment/notice the color change. I’m trying to change up my editing style while keeping things interesting(for me at least). I’m somewhat picky about the 90’s era music as I didn’t get too deep into the grunge scene but AIC is one kf my fav’s!
that was awesome n it sounded great through my speaker,, you make it look ez
Michael I am doing a standing ovation rights now 👏👏👏! Your drumming was off the chain, no pun intended!! It didn’t feel rushed to me. You were dialed in and played all the changes flawlessly. Those fills at 2:52 and 3:01 fast, tight, precise and under control!! Watching you play this, your movements were just like Sean’s. Awesome way to kick off this week!! Brother have a wonderful week ahead and thank you for this mind blowing performance!✌️👍💪👊😁
Keep feeding my ego and I’m gonna get fat haha! No seriously dude I really appreciate your comments and attention to the details. Most people leave the one word comment but you actually watch and listen and that makes a world of difference! By the way, I busted out the Bonham album over the weekend and I’m definitely going to cover a song. Not sure which yet...Guilty? Dreams? They all pretty much rock
mfournier01 hahaha brother!!! I am like you when it comes to comments, I really appreciate all the little nuances and tiny details that people take for granted. I dig that stuff. We both know usually when you get a few or one word comment, those people probably didn’t watch the whole video. There has been plenty of videos, from others, I couldn’t make all the through!! Lol!! But your videos I watch a few times, so I can really appreciate and give a thoroughly honest evaluation of your performance. That’s why your my favorite homie!! Brother I am looking forward to seeing your Bohnam cover! Both of those songs are phenomenal! Brother have a wonderful evening!!✌️👍💪👊😁
Awesome song and playing!
That means a lot coming from the number two Hit like a girl drummer!! Thanks Gigi
#imwiththedrummer ❤️
Hell yes you are!
I love my electronic drums, but I still have an acoustic hi-hat, and this song is a good example why.
I hear that Steve. I struggle with hats and snare sensitivity but in the end it’s much easier just to plug it all in and record. If I had the mixer, mics, and live room I would change a few things!
Great and clean...love it. I am NOT enamored with the snare sound, but that is only my preference. The whole song had a nice attack to it. I love how you phrased!
Thanks brother! Yeah I wasn't totally happy with the sound of the snare either...I tweaked it and got closer on my cover for "No Excuses". Let me know what you think about that one.
great job! Subscribed!
Very tight! You implemented the style well in your playing :)
Thanks for checking it out!
Awesome drumming and fantastic mix 👌❤️🥁
Thank you brother!
Awesome as usual Matt, would love to see some covers off Nevermind or In Utero 🤘🤘
Thanks T. My name is Mike FYI lol. Nevermind is a definite possibility. Check back
@@mfournier01 Lol damn spell check on phone, can't stand when it does that. Love the kit too man, sounds awesome
Probably my favorite AIC song. Nice job Mike!
Really diggin the B&W filter!! Did you re-wrap your kit sometime it used to be white right? Excellently played and it sounds great!! Loved the fills too!!
Good eye! I recently found a nearly new set of TD20SX on eBay that a guy was unloading at a very reasonable price. I always wanted the newer toms/kd140 kick and I’m loving the silver cymbals with the VH-12. I just loaded all my kits into the new module and it’s just like home lol. I have my old kit on eBay now for sale! Thanks for noticing Zax
@@mfournier01 ahhh man, you should put both kits together and just go bananas! I guess you can do that on one kit but look cooler if did.
@@mfournier01 Okay cool I thought it was different and the silver cymbals look sweet too!!
Great video! The drum sound comes only from td20 or it was processed someway in a DAW? Great sound and great cover!
All of my covers are produced from module sounds only Tred! I spend many hours adjusting the instruments and overall kit sounds to try to match the original album sound. Check out some other covers of mine and you will hear the difference!
Awesome playing as always. When you going to come to the dark side and use some VSTs?
Never give in! Haha 😆
@@mfournier01 I thought the same thing but getting SD3 has made it much more enjoyable!
Red Gear Music I’m sure I will eventually. I need to pay off these babies first!
BTW, I love that kit! I’ve owned every Roland flagship kit since the TD-10 and now I own the TD-50KV and couldn’t be more unhappy. I’d give my right testicle to have that brushed metal beauty with the TD-20x back! It’s just BETTER! Better than the TD-30 too! Sold the TD-50 with digital ride and snare and now I’m looking all over for a TD-20x under $900 and NOT in Japan with their $150 or more shipping fees! Don’t get rid of that baby for a LONG time! Don’t make the same &$#%! mistake I did! 😭
PS-I do kinda miss the digital ride and snare though...🥺
Funny thing is that I had the opportunity to pick up the 30 or 50 this summer and I changed my mind when I found this baby on eBay on Long Island and it had been barely used! I paid $3500 for the kit with monitor and dw hi hat stand. I don’t regret it at all!
I owned the Td-10 first, then the Td-20 and added the expansion card before finally finding this kit
