    Just bought my first boat. 1992 sunbird Corsair 175.😁I have 4 daughters. And safety is number one. I'm 31 and this video was the best one yet. Wise words. "Never be to proud to try it again, that's the signs of a real pro". Thank you very much

      It prevents the boat from getting scratched up, and so when you dock the boat it won’t get scratched up by the wake of water

    If wind or current is pushing you at the dock, there's no reason to hit the dock at an angle. I would definitely say throw out a couple of fenders just for your boat's sake, but coming in at an angle is only really appropriate when you're getting blown away from the dock. You should be just nestling up with your boat parallel to the dock, and eventually you should be able to pretty much "parallel park" the boat between two fixed points on the dock. Nobody ever talks about the bow moving across the water. It is not fixed like a car's tires. The bow will continue to move sideways to starboard or port (depending on the direction one is going) even when doing the classic, "turn the wheel the opposite direction and put it in reverse." Eventually the bow will catch up, but you need to leave enough space between you and the dock to allow for this.

    Ladies, if your husband refuses to grab the rail or windshield to get the boat snugged up to the dock--just leave his @ss there and go for a nice ride w/o him. By the time you get back, he will be happy to grab the rail or windshield so that he can get the boat close to the dock and get onto the boat.
    Oh! Your hubby won't let you drive the boat? Find a new hubby. There should never be just 1 person that knows how to operate the boat. What if the captain has a medical emergency?

    • @chefdan87
      @chefdan87 Před 6 lety +1

      You continue to show your ignorance and i find it hilarious. All you are proving is that you don't own a boat. A boat will only contact the upper rub rail so the lower one is irrelevant dumbass. And yes i would have no problem tying up against this dock as it has rubber rub rails down the entire contact area. Oh and detached would mean its floating away in the water and seeing how it is not that just makes another thing you are wrong about.

    • @chefdan87
      @chefdan87 Před 6 lety

      Lol glued, what a stupid fuck you are! "Well do you fool." Is an improper sentence dumbass. How could i have possibly believed even for a second you knew what you were talking about. When you can not even form proper sentences. There are no metal strips, there is no glue. There is recessed stainless SCREWS of which none can be seen protruding anywhere on this non-falling apart dock. Good grief, if only Dr. Kevorkian could have paid you a visit while he was still alive......
