They renewed it recently. It's now more modern, but the charm of some old rooms was preserved. There's also a nice cafe nearby serving Beethoven- and 9th symphony cake.

I like the Cafe Central in Baden as well, but the place to go for this lovely piece of cake is Herwig Gasser right at the extension of Rathausgasse from which you are coming when you leave the Beethovenhaus. See also www(dot)suessesvomfeinsten.eu/dekotorten/
