Hi Sara. Another wonderful reminder of the 25 years I spent living in wonderful Croatia. We haven't had scampi buzara since we left but will certainly try zeljko's recipe as it looked so easy. We try to eat lots of fish here in Britain but it's just not the same. We miss all the good food from Croatia but especially incuni (small fish) and prsut. Love your videos. Puno pozdrava. Pat

The Dalmatian coast is such a wonderful place. I visited Split and the island of VIs (where my grandparents on my father's side are from) in the early '70s when it was Yugoslavia and again about six years ago. The cuisine is somewhat basic but always so fresh and flavorful. I loved it. I noticed the chard and potatoes dish was often served as a side dish just about everywhere so I started making it when I got back home. This was really cool to see so thank you. I can't wait to go back!

The cuisine is far from basic, you definitely need to spend more time in Croatia and explore more cities, regions and hundreds of islands, the cuisine is very regional and diverse ☺️

OMG this is amazing! Love that kitchen .I'm also a chef 👩🏾‍🍳 and the food and markets are the very thing that draws me to the Mediterranean 😊. My husband is Polish and we have decided to leave the US (ASAP).. Croatia is one of our perspective Countries to immigrate to and our number one pick. @@simplysonya68 welcome to Croatia😊 it is a beautiful country with 99% nice and friendly people. The only bad thing is the bureaucracy and the corrupt politicians. Hope that this will also get better by the time. Otherwise we could be much much better of than we already are. But it’s a Safe, beautiful, friendly country. Especially the coastline (Dalmatia,Istria) are breathtaking. And the islands are amazing

Bok Sarah. You are so sweet here letting your kids participate in the shopping & cooking. I saw a wonderful sea devil at the fish market, you can cook this in the oven on a bed of Blitva and of course again olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper. The head can be used to make fish soup. Hvala!

In English say, that both "cherries" are just a little "sour" cherries. Both belong to the same genus (Prunus) and subgenus (Cerasus), and to a different species; cherries belong to the species "Prunus avium", and sour cherries "Prunus cerasus". Although they are very similar in appearance, they are different in taste and properties, "eeee paa" cheers darling! 😊👍🥂

Ćevapčići or simply ćevapi…. But nice try 😂👍… compliments for effort. Ćevapi are originally Turkish dish and very well known in whole former Yugoslavia especially in Bosnia and Serbia….overall grilled meat is something that you find in every Balkan country. For me personally the best grill I’ve tasted was in Macedonia 🇲🇰

There is plenty of other cities in coastal side of Croatia,Split is overrated. I would recommend Istrian region. From fish to meat,everything is amazing!
