I have installed about 6 of these with no issues yet. One runs at full current (50 amp) almost every day. Even the fan still works. The new versions display KWH. They could use more sophistication in the display in my opinion similar to an Outback’s.

I have two of them they have worked flawlessly so far from what I've heard the fake ones are exactly the same thing except for the software but there are only 20 or 30 bucks cheaper and if you buy the make sky blue one they will help you if something happens worth the little bit of extra money

These controllers are ok the brackets need to be deeper as the unit is held against the wall, I've used standoffs and the unit cools much more efficiently with a cm or two behind it, and for those that say it just ignored the settings, after changing settings you have to remove PV input and battery input to cut all power to the unit for it to take the new settings, powmr has run and behaved just fine for me.

I am still happy with mine. I am currently still working on adding more batteries to my setup and upgrading what was already there so it is kinda torn apart right now and we keep getting power outages so I have been temporarily hooking up the charge controllers to make sure we have backup power. Well I connected 2 sets to one controller on an overcast day and forgot to disconnect the second set at the end of the day. I realized it about noon the next day and it had been sunny all day. When I checked on it the controller said there was a little over 1300 watts going through it so I just kept an eye on it for the rest of the day and it survived without fail. My controllers are 40amp and charging a 24v system. The manual says not to run over 960watts at 24v. I do have finned aluminum heat sinks on the back and the heat sink inside is thermal pasted to the back of the case.

I can confirm the PowrMr controllers do NOT correctly implement the battery voltage CC/CV limit settings. I tried to set my 2 x PowerMr controllers for a Lithium-Ion battery by setting the bulk/float charging voltages to something less that 57v. yeah, I have been asking about the Genetry inverters and zero answer. I wanted to know how the Genetry protects the output if there is a failure on the control board or MOSFET boards as I have sensitive electronics that I don't want to fail (lots of it in the form of industrial servo motors). Not a peep from Genetry. So I bought 5 pieces of Power Jack equivalent and will just take out the charger board myself, add a constant duty switch to bypass the thermistor myself, and add two additional fans on the side myself. I will also add vent holes above and below the toroid transformer to include holes in the round plate at top myself. I offered to buy two Genetry via their contact forms and another silence of the lambs coming from Genetry. I know Sean has been having issues being overloaded but at least he could answer after me having been so nice on his two videos about being overloaded and not answering questions.
