I Created Medieval Carthage and Became King of the Mediterranean in CK3

- A viewer suggested that we play a game where we can only take land along the coastline, making a long thin empire. Doing this in the Mediterranean allows us to try and build a medieval Carthaginian empire! Will we be able to recreate Carthage, and avenge the Punic Wars? You'll have to watch to find out đ

Almost at 20K subs guys đ±đ± I just wanted to thank everyone for sticking around and watching my vids. I'm always looking for wacky game suggestions in the comments, so let me know down below âŹâŹâŹ
You have the best CK3 content on youtube
For the next video would you try to revive the ancient roman empire but you have to start anywhere in Italy.
Love ur CK3 content! Keep it up :)
Great work mate, loving your content â„ïž
Been here since less than 1k your vids are always so good
I believe there are 2 religions that consider the county of tunis/carthage as a holy site, hellenic and adamite. So you could get a holy site here if you convert to one of these then change it to whatever you want
Adamite would have been perfect for this run đ€Šââïž good shout
@@Zieley idk how much CZcams wouldâve liked that
@@lukecooper2845horny faith, i love it
@@Zieley Could you share that Coat of Arms?
Iâm pretty sure Roman has Carthage as a holy site but obviously Roman and Carthage donât go together
My ancestors are so proud right now
đ”đ” legend alert
Very nice ! Some certified Laith moment
wait, i never knew you were tunisian! I'm jewish tunisian!
Can't get over the fact that you've got both Carthage and Qartajana , actual carthage, next to each other.
Shhhh
Pro tip: pin the invading viking leaders, after they lost the war you can pick them up to your court very easily. And they usually have 20 prowess and good martial skill. So they make for fantastic knights and commanders. They'll even accept conversion after joining your court.
I'm stealing this strat lol
varangian guard momeent
There is something you could've done as the Aghlabid's. Start as Muhammad's brother, Ibrahim. The count of Gabes. He's a historical character with the genius trait, great stats and great intrigue. He's basically like a Muslim Ivan the Terrible. Since Muhammad isn't married off the rip, and since Ibrahim is usually a lunatic as well, you can murder Muhammad in 12 months. All the titles will go to you as Muhammad doesn't have any kids, bada bing bada boom.
For me it says he is intelligent
Yup Tunis is correct. I was just running a play through and revived Hellenism. Tunis (Carthage) is one of the holy sites for the faith, which I acquired for my Hellenic empire!
itâs also the closest geographical location to Carthage
How can you be Hellenic? When I start a Hellenic playthrough, everyone and their dad invades me
@@Chadius_Thundercock start independent and offer to be vassalized with religious protection in your feudal contract. Then revolt when the time is right and gain independence again when you are strong enough. It's challenging, but doable. I kicked the pope out of Rome too and stole his hat
actually Qartajana the second holding on your main county is the location of the ancient city of Qart Hadasht. but after the third roman-carthaginian war the city was completely denolished and the soil was salted, preventing inhabitability for many generations
Qartajana does sound familiar to carthage
@@slickyblicky1711
Thatâs because it is Carthage lol
The thing about salting the soil isn't true.
The soil salting thing was more of a symbolic of Carthage being gone, didn't have a actual effect
@@pcu9284 it isnât mentioned in any documents written before the 19th century.
I mentioned this previously, but a one county challenge playing as Jerusalem would be really cool, so you have to defend from a ton of crusades. Love the video, keep them up!
jerusalem is actually op county, there are a decent amount of baronies and 2 special buildings which mean that just jerusalem can get to like 50 gold per month in like 100 years
At first I was cynical about this "Carthage gameplay", but as soon as you lost a war against Rome it truly got me going in the realism gameplay. 10\10 "Carthago delenda est"
This is as it should beđŠ
The Carthaginian Empire consisted of many coastal colonies, so the Dutch culture was very fitting.
Not to mention "Sheikh Frans of(van) Holland" is just too funny.
Babe wake up , Zieley posted
When I try to restore Carthage or any southern Mediterranean empire I like to convert to Adamitism.
Many holy sites there.
Shame you didn't create another hybrid culture with one that had elephants unlocked. Would have been a nice way to avenge Hannibal considering how OP elephants are in this game lol
Dude I just started to play ck3 on console. Your videos have really helped me out and I have really enjoyed your editing style. Iâm always excited to see you upload. Keep up the good work
How is it on console? I imagine the menu navigation must be a bit tough
Itâs not pretty. It took some getting used to. After you figure it out a little bit itâs not too bad.
Oh god ! we finnaly found one of those who play on console Oo How is your journey paradox's martyr ?
@@thehugoadams itâs been ruff
@@Zieley as someone who only plays on console, it's not perfect but it works surprisingly well.
The "yoink" when revoking titles always gets a chuckle out of me
Man I really love your editing with your chill voice, very glad I discovered your channel ! And as a beginner in CK3 I learn a ton which is great :D
somewhere in the afterlife, Hannibal shed a tear.
Hey there! I've really liked your ck3 videos since they've really helped me with a lot of minor details when it comes to the game. I was wondering if you could do a King of all the Isles video to show the best way to do that :) Keep it up man!
have you tried a Cathar game before? one of their holy sites is Albi in southern France and I was able to convert with my starting count. the region is pretty fun but it would be neat to see someone take that shit to 11 and turn the tables on the Albigensian crusade.
Thank you for the age of empires throwback, omg the nostalgia kicked in hard lol
Loved the video. New to the game and your videos have helped a ton!
Would really love to see you do a playthrough as Armenia, which I have found to be a fairly difficult start, with the goal of creating historical greater Armenia, BUT I think it would be really interesting if you used as little warfare as possible. Intrigue, inheritance, ect as opposed to armies (when possible of course). Think it would be extremely interesting as well as helpful in showing different ways to play the game.
You should have followed the great Hannibal and send your troops die of attrition through the alps to take rome by surprise
With elephants!
Love your videos man, editing and gameplay is always top tier!
Thanks Chris! love the pfp, the house always wins đ
Pro tip: When do war for kingdom you should also occupy lands that you didn't choose as part of the kingdom title you warring for. When you win you also get those lands as bonus
I donât quite think this is true⊠When you start a war, it details exactly which lands will be yours upon victory, and that doesnât really change during the war itself.
@@ChaoticArcane Think? Bro this is a fact that you can get more land by occupying non dejure states belong to that Kingdom you waring on
This is so cool, thanks for the video!
Picking Dutch language for your hybrid culture may have been slightly sub-optimal, but the rest looked really good.
Hoe bedoel je? Nederlands is een uitstekende keuze!
Yeah that irked me
Loved how historically accurate you managed to make it without mods. Thumbs up and then some! Great vid
Your content is always fun to watch and very educational great job
Yesss I love your videos man! Thanks for another one
I don't play ck3 but i love watching your videos.keep up the good work
I subscribed like 2-3 days ago, and I really love your video's đđ»
I hope I will see you unite the Benelux in ck3 once!
I think it would be only appropriate to do a run fighting Rome with elephants bringing the army all the way from Cartagena (Spain) crossing through the alps. Just saying.
Also the revival of neo-Phoenician Baal Hammon/ Tanit religion would go very well with your banners đ
A new upload from Zieley is like opening a birthday card from your grandparents and finding a hundred dollar bill
I genuinely forgot that you are a under 100k channel, your content is genuinely good and entertaining.
>Challenge is to have multi-cultural empire
>Doesn't take Xenophilic
>Converts Egypts Culture to Neo-Phonecian
...đ
this reads like a reddit post
Your edits are so funny. The aoe II sound effects literally get me every time
Glad to see a new upload!
great video! learned a lot about the game! thanks
I really wished you started from Tyre. Conquered Tunis, then gave it to a custom character named Dido. And played that character onwards.
now that would have been the ultimate role play
CK3 Bingo pt. 2 please!!!!!
Another banger video thanks a lot for this
Not just closest, there is a barony named Qartajana near Tunis. Just like real life whete Carthage is 15km from Tunis, more close to the sea
I legit got giddy at the start of this video lol. Another great video! I think it would be fun to view a tyrannic game where you play as a family of absolutely evil assholes. Would be fun to see how you deal with scared and angry vassals.
These edits are great đđ... subbed
Oh boy, this is what I have been waiting for
Damn son another amazing video uploaded!
long live Carthaginian empire in medieval world? That rocks!
Your ck3 content is the goldilocks of ck3 youtube vids
Your voice is so calming!
I just finished a similar game out last night, crowned myself emperor of Carthage starting as Sardinia. Conquered all of Italy, and the northern lands of Africa doen into the Middle East and retook the holy land.
Gonna watch this while eating dinner. God bless!
blees yo food đ
I love the part where he's like "We're catholic now! Let's ask the pope for money!"
Please continue this. Surround the entire Mediterranean
Please continue to create these videos đ„
I plan on it!
Good video as always
Ah yes, sacking Constantinople is *always* the most important, the very end goal of every single CK3 play.
Every Ck3 play is invalid without at least sacking Venice or Constantinople once.
Rome ??? Paris ???? Alexandria ??? Spain south east coast and east coast ??? Palestinian coast ? Tangier ???
Raiding rome as a viking is ez money those priests cant fight , bar bar etc.
The editing in these videos just keeps getting better haha
đ
King of all the isles run? I think you would have a good time with that one.
Zieley, you can make the punic religion by modding it in tho i am not sure if u can convert to it or even have it show up in that save
Love the March Slav dispersed in these videos đ
Furthermore, I consider that Carthage must be destroyed.
I know you recently did a eugenics video, but I think it would be cool to breed an army of scaly albino giants and put the fear of the DRAGONLORDS into the world.
I've tried making an albino family before... doesn't always go too well.
@@Sand-Walker13, why not?
@@deonte9014 I always end up struggling to find albino people (at least ones with decent stats) to marry. After a while my dynasty just starts looking normal because of it. The only solution I can think of would be... incest
@@Sand-Walker13 well you know what they said about the targaryens..
Once I reach King title it's easy to just disinherit the kids you don't want inheriting anything (risky business what if the son you want dies so I always do this near the age of 50). Before my strategy was just to make them one man armies and send them into battle alone hoping they die (often times they just retreat and come home). One time I was desperate since I was a woman and in my past life I married her off patrilineally so all her kids were from another dynasty so I imprisoned all my kids and killed them and my husband didn't want to divorce and the pope didn't allow it so he kept getting me pregnant and my stress was through the roof luckily when I died my player heir was part of my dynasty an uncle I believe or cousin took over.
Empire strikes back !!
4:00 I'm pretty sure you can call in your allies with negative prestige
Would have enjoyed to see the religion and culture and map mode at the end of the game, just to see how you changed the area.
Kadooz for You guys to get Your comments brought to the video! ;)
i have a supreme challenge for you. take AT LEAST one of each county of each nation in the world. you can do kingdoms only if its too hard and you can absorb smaller nations
One thing I wish they'd implement in CK3 with smaller squabbling nations when one looses you take their lands partially if they have 4-7 provinces maybe u take 2 or 3 or if they have 1-3 you annex them completely
I love how you consider going on a pilgrimage to Mecca in order to get enough piety to convert! đ
This guy's speech has developed alot
PLEASE MAKE THE VISIGOTHIC KINGDOM OUT OF ASTURIAS
i got ptsd when you rang the age of empires town bell lol
Carthage? This challenge reminds me of long Chile.
Awesome đĄ
Yeah I've been trying to do some kind of Northern empire with heavy focus on trade and development as Dutch with making north sea my personal lake but as for now late game in ck3 is rather boring and I never finished it
You can always call in allies - even with negative prestige. The number just drops down further.
Neo-Phoenician is one of the coolest cultures I have seen yet.
Let's go new video dropped
Hannibal must be smiling watching this
Eastern Romans seeing Carthage's resurrection: *No this shit again*
TROP HELLA LA VIDEO CA MEREUH
35:24 But will he still give you a sizeable donation? Lol
Well played
haha! Tchaikovsky's Slave March great choice
Nice video man! Just wanna ask, did u ever tried to make pure blooded trait manually? I tried to make ot multiple Times, having pretty much everyone in my empire is related but i never get pure blooded on my direct descendant. Sometimes One of my country man got one but its really hard to inherit it to my kids. Would love to see if u can manually make one of the pure blooded trait.
Fun fact, Carthage was just on the other side of the pond from Tunis / Tunisia
"Podlers" I can't stop laughing!
farmlands is different then floodplains
didnt know about the Dutch, thanks!
Truth is, even though you won against the two Romes you didn't get Phoenicia back
Totally not my third time watching this while i learn to play ck3
Im pretty sure that Tunis was just a town in carthage but after it's destruction, tunis just expanded over it
Its kind of weird that you need high piety to change your beliefs while low piety would make a lot more sense
Have you done a video about how OP holding Ireland is? 14 counties, 5 duchies. 14 isn't that hard to hold by end game, and if you just hold the entire island, who cares about holding 3 extra duchies? You can hit some real absurd "from domain" additions. Like 500% easy with crossbowman (I assume any MaA type would work, I had just done it with crossbowman since I had never used them before. Hell, even use skirmishers to show buildings matter more than type of soldier)
If you couldâve made Carthage a mercantile republic it wouldâve been even better.
19:01 - I said Phoenicia since the beginning! Finally!
you don't make much of it, but you really know your history
Could you try a True Heir of Alexander? Beggining in Greece
