I have a funny story about color balance. We had photos printed many years ago, and we were surprised to see 3 sets of prints. My husband is Chinese and, in the first set, he looked completely normal but I looked raspberry pink. In the next set, he was golden yellow jaundiced, and I was completely normal. The 3rd set split the difference. We had a good laugh about the technician's struggle.

Can you make this adjustment anywhere else apart from photoshop?
I saw an interesting video last week about subtractive and additive light, RYB colour wheel and CMG colour wheel, respectively. It went into how colours on our screens are made from the additive colour wheel (CMG), and this can affect how the colours are translated in the images when looked at on a device. It it also very much depends on your device and its graphics capabilities, screen quality, etc (Disclaimer: this is a very unscientific explanation of the video!!!)
Is there a trick for adjusting for this additional colour wheel conundrum, or does this de-sallowing method cover all the bases? 🤯

Hi. I think you're getting too technical with this. We use this method along with color theory and understanding of people's tones. These are things we see and can infer based on experience and our mastery of color theory. True, screens vary, no doubt. But when we use specific colors on a person's color balanced photo, we are accurate 99% of the time.
