Really enjoy these interviews. I shoot many disciplines including 600 BR and entering into ELR light. I do a lot of testing and load development. I learn something from every interview.
Currently trying your V1 Tuner brake to sort out my 308 👍
    Keep them coming.
BTW, if I watch your videos on UTube TV, it doesn’t have the ability to like. 👍
    Thanks, Mark

Eric, I am so glad you understand and appreciate that being 'ignorant' is not a bad thing and that you continue to pursue learning and pass along what you have learned to others. Props to you.

Great info! Up here in Canada, we're limited to 20,000 Joules of muzzle energy. The biggest cartridge available is the 375 Enabler, and many ranges limit to 338 @ 3200fps in competition( despite being approved for .50 cal). Light class opens the competition to a bigger group of shooters, and as such, it's better for the sport, IMHO. There are several Canadian matches, including Valcartier ELR, KO2M in Hannah, Alberta, and a few in Quebec, and it's growing.
Though the 33XC is phenomenal past 2500m, 338 Lapua and particularly 300 Norma consistently dominate these Canadian matches, which are usually 2100-2700M.
Having shot F-class, PRS, and ELR, I can personally say that ELR matches combine the best aspects of each, and despite the DOPE and data shared among competitors, it really comes down to the individual's ability to load consistently, manage recoil, make effective wind calls and execute quick follow up shots under time limits. It's a much more relaxed environment compared to PRS, but more challenging (ballistic solving and recoil management) and exciting than F-class(IMHO).
Thanks for making great content, looking forward to more.

Great interview and mind numbing. Paul is very knowledgeable about his sport. The technology that has made these distances possible is incredible. Wait until AI gets involved.

I was wondering if they use some kind of e-target at midpoint or even at several points during flight to get more feedback during practice?

I disagree that the team and squad aspects are a benefit to the sport. It makes it inaccessible to outsiders. There isn't even a place for me to even show up unless I have a spotter.

What I understood from the conversation was that this whole ELR thing is just a team sport. Like you know, beach volleyball, or tennis doubles. It is just the nature of the beast.

Great stuff guys, keep up the great work and always looking forward to the uploads, especially the FTR comps.
After all its a 308 and distances is 1,200 yards max, but its the wind and the weather, Like Erik said at 1,000 yards, on the scope a 0.10 millimetre movement is around 10 millimetres at the target, so a wind call is massive issue?
My best score at 1,200 yards was 6 V's and total score of 48.5 with the 5.56mm at the AU FTR, but i have not got a shooters licence & was invited to a practice shoot in late 2019 / early 2020 and i was blown away with the systems they had, i expected normal hunting rifles etc, Also did not know that all the boys there were F class shooters & Match Riles shooters, which were going to beisley in england for the world championships. 🦘🦘👍👍👌👌
