Could you do Remnant 2 , please . It's an unoptimized mess.
Been waiting for your guide. Even though I already finished the game and roughly figured out my own optimal settings.
I watch your guides even for games I don't own or have no interest in playing, just because the quality of your analysis is so good.
Much more straight forward to the point than Digital Foundry.
Best optimization channel in CZcams. Thankyou BenchmarKing for the R&C guide ❤️
Best optimization channel in CZcams, I don't know what I would do without you these days.
Very helpful as always.Thank you.👍
Best channel on CZcams Period! thanks for the guide King!
They really need to fix very high textures
try setting it to low, then very high, like 2-3 times and it should work fine, some textures are low res no matter what, im not sure if it really is a bug
U can also try disabling direct storage by renaming the two DLL files . Surprisingly it doesn’t seem to make a big difference in load times
Can I ask you guys a question please?
Should I jump in and buy it now after Friday's patch, considering you're 3 different players on different PC setups or hold off?
My right is-
Ryzen 7 5800x
RTX 4070TI
32gb ram
M.2 storage throughout the system
Any feedback would be great,as I'm really tempted and can't believe I've held off this long but there so many conflicting reviews on steam I'm trying to gather as much genuine feedback as I can,as it's been a strange year for PC.
Cheers guys 👍
@@TheAtkinson118I would say hold off from buying it just yet, surely they will fix major problems in a week or two...
@@kalustaja2k937 Thanks yes you think they will get it fixed as quickly as possible for sales but it's 2023 so you never know... I'll wait though as I want the best experience, and I need to learn patience lol 🤣
Great video. Much better than DF's half-assed one. You earned a new subscribers. Keep up the good work.
Amazing videos bro! Very detailed. You deserve more love :)
Very impressive guide. So Helpful and crystal clear ! Now I play on my 32/9 with a 4070ti at like 50 to 60 fps constantly. thx !
Thanks man, exactly what's needed to tweak perfectly, most guides don't provide any data so it's hard to trust.
Was waiting for this!!!
Very helpful and so detailed, thanks for the effort!!
Thanks for the quick high quality upload 🎉
Great video again , very helpful, i'm always lost with all the settings but with this tutorial, I could device what to drop and what to keep on higher setting : :D Expert and detailed video
Thank you very much! i5-13400f, RX 7800 XT here. At 1440p, with RT reflections, the starting point on Sargasso was very hard on the FPS, but now it suddenly jumped to and above 70 fps without upscaling. This map, with its abundant vegetation, was the only place in the game where I couldn't find an acceptable solution above 60 fps with RT reflections. I would recommend the new XeSS 1.3 on Quality for even more comfortable gameplay, as it's a little better, on the fps too, than FSR 2.2, at least in my opinion.
You did pretty hard work there. Wow. Did you realize that if you exit the game and run the game some graphics weren't fully applied or as stable as it should. In my experience doing exit and starting the game again, it gets the real quality I set in graphics. And performance.
ALL HAIL BenchmarKING! Another helpful video since I have a 3060 Ti too! Remnant 2 next please.
was waiting for this to play.thanks a lot
Great video, dude.
Solid work.
Very DigitalFoundry of you haha. Giving them a run for their money!
excellent work as always. Thank you.
@BenchmarKing You are doing very good job. Thank You !
Dude never stop this please its so much helpfull. Can i ask will you do Remnant 2 optimized settings? game definitly needs it
Great video as always. Can't wait for the steam deck video!
I'm just going to come out and say it. Your videos are far more informative and useful than Digital Fountry. You get to the point, show good visual representation, and don't make your videos 30 mins long.
I don't think it's better but just different.
Digital Foundry said exactly the same things as him.
very high quality videos u make bro
awesome work dude, the best optimization channel
Great video as always!
Awesome video! Did Nixxes ever fix these problems you mentioned?
Anisotropic Filtering costing so much performance is bizzare.
Feels like we gone back to the old Geforce 2 days.
it‘s a game that severly pushes memory bandwidth and storage read limits of current hardware, so of course AF impacts performance. The only thing that is bizarre are clowns who pushed the narrative that "AF is always free"
Texture filtering should be ridiculously cheap on PC on any games but that's not the case here.
Once again you knock in out of the park with another excellent optimization guide. Id even go as far to say as your guides are better and more informative than Digital Foundry since you measure every single setting's impact to performance which is something they dont always do. I do hope the game receives patches for further polish and optimization. Keep up the great work.
Amaizing job my friend
Great video, Thanks
this is an excellent port, the only bad thing is the fps drops when shooting with some weapons that i also noticed
Thanks for all your videos! I have a suggestion for your videos. I would like to see the game update version in the description the benchmark was made with. Thanks :)
Thanks for another very helpful video! Now i can play the game with locked 60fps. :)
This channel is amazing. Thanks bro
Thanks!
I was waiting for your video
O vídeo que todos estavam esperando
Awesome video!!!
Great video!
A great video. Thanks.
Always number one 🔥🔥
The best channel..
Ty bro.
Thank you very much!
I love your channel for real.
Ty for making these optimizations, it helps getting the best of both worlds ❤
will you do one on remnant 2?
bro, this game was made with thinking of using upscaler only, nothing will save because game sucks.
I'm no stranger to the series, so I know how visually varied all the environments can be, but I'd never have guessed how wide of a range of FPS they all had, lol. (When I first started as Rivet on a vegetation filled planet, the FPS taaaaanked). Luckily we have the BK. (Also, as long as the FPS is stable, I think this is a genre I can deal with even 30fps if I had to (that's what console is, after all)).
Edit: I started the game back up and at planet in question the fps were more in line with other places. This game def has it's... quirks.
Great work as always dude!
You should reecommend PS5 version over PC one if I have a 2060 SUPER and I want to avoid stuttering?
you are the best man!
DirectStorage causes performance issues and stuttering you can disable it and get gains and better frame pacing. Apparently this effects high end systems the most?
Hope you make optimization guide for Remnant 2
p.s thanks for you'r works
Nice optimization guide!!!!!
Helloo, thanks for you listen me and comunity! Love your guides!
Buen video!! Siempre me sirven!! Remnant 2 next Time pls!
Thank you!
I will wait until it's finished all the issues!!
Hero!
Thanks you.
The only way I found to keep the fps stable was to lock at 30 fps. There I was able to set everything to maximum, including ray tracing.
any chance you'll be doing a video on graphics settings for Remnant II?
cant wait for your Baldur's Gate 3 optimization guide
I've been waiting for your guide or others who also do it very carefully. plus the game is so short that I ended up finishing 100% before they appeared on the internet, despite the media praise about the port, I had some problems with vram on the 3070 msm having 32gb to share VRAM I gave up using RT with 10 minutes of games o game simply doesn't make this switch like other games and even TLOUS today does, because I saw that this dropped a lot the RT msm putting the DLSS to 60fps I noticed that it was downloading the game to a resolution below the ultra-performance mode I don't know the game should be running at 480p, the game is so short that I just downloaded several things to high/medium and went after finishing the game and despite the game running above 80fps in this config it was very common for me to encounter drops in various environments to 40fps or less, and more a game full of features that other lighter games like HZD, God of war and even the forgotten days gone were not even considered to receive, and this one received all of them and it is almost impractical to use them in strong GPUs of the last generation and I don't doubt that I should just rotate everything with ease with Frame generation, but if for some this is a great port I won't be the one to question them maybe they are just referring to the fact that the game runs on ssd/slower disks but then no I know if this is merit because Remnant 2 does not have several similar portals in the labyrinth part and even in the final boss fight of the game where the boss is changing you from "world" in real time and there is zero marketing about it.
Also there something wrong with Nvidia reflex for some reason turning on+ boost absolutely destroys the 1% by big time while having it on only cause no issues.
Thank you for your service o7
You know what we NEED. BG3! Letsa go!
I was waiting for this video :v
Best channel of the world
love your optimization guide videos, can you do one with remnant 2 too? since that game is also a serious mess when it comes to performance
That game has like 2 settings. Buy a 4090 or play with 5 FPS, that's the fix.
@@mcgmgc Haha nice one :D
Uhhh, pretty sure you need shadow quality at low & the rest does basically nothing for performance, so you just upscale from a lower resolution... That's about all you can do with Remnant 2. 😅
Try play with everything Low. If it can't run, Optimized settings won't help either.
@@mcgmgc Nah. Here's the real Remnant 2 optimization guide:
1. Do not buy unoptimized games. Since the devs will never learn to optimize their games, if people still buy their garbage.
2. Pirate the game from Dodi Repacks which comes with the online crack fix so you can play on the legit Steam and Epic servers with other people if you want.
3. Play on the lowest settings and drop the resolution and enable DLSS until you get 60fps. Or buy a 4090.
4. Enjoy the terrible game. Who now cares if it unoptimized since you got to play it for free.
Isn't the frame pacing issues at very high textures, the sign of GPU memory running out and it having to swap files in and out constantly?
Bought this game on the 20th of December in 2023. Had to do all kind of bullshit to just get to the cutscene, let alone play anything. Finally managed a possible fix that looked like it would let me play something, I take 2 steps and phase through a stair well. I try to figure out how to get to the point where I can use the wrench or a weapon and I fall through the floor to my death. Is there any way to fix this or should I just get a refund, cause this is ridiculous!
Handsome. this time on time. I haven't finished the game yet.
Will you do Remnant II? :)
Game looks good, but seems like Sony pushed nixes for an earlier release date causing the game to have so many issues and crashes.
You are amazing 🎉🎉🎉
You should have gpu power draw displayed, so you can tell when the card has ran out of vram. Also 04:30, I had no problems with the boss fight on my 6700xt and 5600x, locked 60fps 4K xess performance, max settings, no RT.
How do you know when the card has ran out of VRAM from the power draw?
@@CosmicVoid420 power draw drops significantly.
Could I help buy you Remnant 2 so that you could do a Remnant 2 video for us 😂❤. You have the best guides around!
I love this video, ratchet and Clank is a incredible Master piece of ps5 and even with this settings are better than ps5 how is must have hahaha❤
Amazing game!!! (and amazing tips)
Optimization for rtx3080 do u have?
ThX!!!
With the September update v1.922.0.0, does this guide still apply?
Thank you man!
A PC port that does work? What year is this?
Ngl, while xess looks nice for upscaling, I'm getting lower performance than just running native resolution on my 5700xt, making it feel less than uesless? Is this working better on other AMD cards?
This video just appeared to me the day I finished the game💀
guys if you are having problems with textures on high or very high (given that you have enough vram) try to delete the 2 direct storage dlls from the root folder and give a go , it smoother my frame times by a lot.
High is just very demanding. I think it requires really fast memory bandwidth on your gpu.
@@beri4138 i dont know but removing DS solves it, you can see in some videos that, with a fast nvme demoving direct storage doesnt even affect load times between rifts
@@MarsCristian Not for me
Did they not fix RT shadows in a patch?
The stuttering is probably because of a VRAM bottleneck. Very high textures and RT uses a lot of VRAM iirc. Plus you're running on higher resolution though I think you're running an upscale method so it's not full 1440p render but still quite high.
Hey, can u record best settings for baldurs gate 3?
disabling direct storage by deleteing the DLL files gives better performance
please do a remnant 2 video
You are the best, optimize Need for Speed Unbound please
amazing
I’m playing this game on my aya Neo handheld pc but I can only get about 20 fps I’m not sure if it’s just that the device isn’t powerful enough to play this game smoothly and at a high fps
For V. High Texture Quality Use Vram around 14-15 GB ( 2K + Ray + Max Setting )
At 1080p with DLSS quality it was using like 9.5GB. It even used more than 10GB at times for me.
And that is with all RT settings disabled, shadows and hair on medium, SSR on high.
@@CosmicVoid420Crazy. Seem like 6GB or even 8GB already doomed.
At 1440p native with textures on high the game used 6.5-7GB for me.
my gpu is gigabyte rtx 3050 8gb. when is use to fire ricohet weapon it's fire looks pixeld images. any solution how to fix this? thank you.
Its weird changing settings a lot made the game run at 20 fps in that night city scene but after rebooting the same scene ran at 50 Fps
Some settings in games change only after a restart (this is less common these days though)
@@DuckyUmbraNo he means changing any settings in game completely tanks his frames up until the point he reboots
Please do remnant 2 next
I disagree with some of this.
The most important setting for visuals is level of detail. I have it on ultra. It makes the biggest difference.
Textures on high look a lot better than medium but also lose a LOT of fps for me so I left them on medium.
Hair quality is only visible during cutscenes. Medium looks great. For gameplay, very low looks the same.
Reflections are a big performance hog. I like nice reflections as much as everyone else but I ended up setting it to off because it's too demanding.
I also have shadows and weather on low.
For upscaling I use FSR performance. I like it better than XeSS because it looks sharper.
Particle effects are also a huge performance hog but sadly there is no graphics setting to control them.
Overall this is a pretty hard game to run well. Some of the planets perform poorly compared to others and fps drops during combat are inevitable with the crazy amount of particle effects.
Many gamers will have to do like me: set everything to low-medium and only crank up 1 setting that's really important to them.
