Best part of this car has to be how the AWD system becomes 20/80 torque split in the sport modes and has a rear LSD in the sport trim. Best of both worlds!

Coolest thing about Genesis being a new brand is they are actually 'refreshing' their car every 2 years. First a body lift, now and interior face lift hitting key areas that reviewers comment on like the steering wheel, climate controls, infotainment, etc. Unlike other brands that change basically nothing over an 8yr lifecycle. So cool to see Genesis and Hyundai's N division actually make some great cars at an affordable price point

I love mine! I have the Sport Prestige AWD. Black on Black with red Diamond stitch and red seatbelts. I came from a BMW 650 TT V8. The Genesis is fast, sporty and luxurious all in one AND reliable! For those that won’t buy because it’s made by Hyundai, keep in mind VW makes Porsche, Audi, Bugatti and Lamborghini. Just as many other cars are made by surprising sources.

VW, Porsche, Audi, Bugatti, and Lamborghini are all respectable heritage brands that have worked for their prestigious titles. Great video! I just sold my 2019 Volvo S60 T5 Momentum and leased one of these 2024 Genesis 3.3T Sport Prestige RWD in a Gray Exterior/Red Nappa Leather Interior combo from a standalone Genesis showroom in my city. I drove every other German car in this segment and each had their own pros and cons.
The M340i was definitely the best car of the bunch, but would’ve been stupidly expensive ($300/month more) equivalently optioned. You can tell this is a chasis and engine that BMW has perfected over time, but the price reflects that. At least maintenance was included with the lease, which is something I can’t say for the other German competitors below.
The C43 although fast, is a four banger that depends A LOT on pumped in engine sound. It also downshifted very harshly, even in comfort mode and automatic. It always wants to go and kicks you, and has fuel economy numbers that are just as bad as the Genesis ones are. While the interior looked the nicest of the bunch, the fit and finish was very creaky in some parts. Maintenance was not included and costs $2,600 for a pre-paid maintenance plan in addition to the MSRP.
The other car I considered more closely was the S5 Sportback, but the lease was an extra $100/month on LeaseHackr for a Premium Plus trim (so missing navigation, HUD) and did NOT include AudiCare maintenance which was an additional $1,699 addition to the MSRP (so it came out to a total of $125/month more or so extra if rolled into the lease). The Audi had massage seats, a lift back, sounded better, and had better lighting in the cabin even though this trim was missing the ambient lighting, but lacked some of those other features the Genesis had that I mentioned above unless one opted for the more expensive Prestige trim.
All these cars did something better but I don’t know if I could justify the payment difference of $560/month for the Genesis vs. $700/mo for the S5 with Audi Care, $730/mo for a relatively base C43 without pre-paid maintenance (that’s an extra $2.6K on top of MSRP- ouch) or about $800/mo for an M340i without leather seats and potentially without the M Adaptive Suspension.
Yes, I wish the G70 had some ambient lighting and the full digital gauge cluster of the GV70, but I can live without those things for the next 3 years for the price difference while enjoying some cool features like the blind spot cameras, cooled seats (wasn’t available on BMW or Audi, and was an a la carte option on the Mercedes) the awesome torque, and the overall smaller size for parking in the urban area I live in. It reminds me of the Lexus IS vehicles my mom used to lease, but much nicer materials-wise.
This G70 is the best all around value in the segment that does not give up much versus the competition. I’m very lucky to live near a dedicated Genesis showroom, so I think my service experience will be a positive one overall.

Good luck getting parts!!!Genesis was always my dream car EXCEPT after having a windshield replaced, the "Pillar Post" seals had disintegrated from heat (what the Genesis dealer said) and now even under warranty I've been waiting 2 months for parts and when I call the dealer to check status, told they can't get the parts from Korea. Due to this issue, the car interior at highway speed is now so loud from wind shear that you have to play the radio almost completely up to listen to a audio book. Parts shouldn't take months on a car still under warranty.
Thanks Genesis for not having the capability to replace trim that causes comfort levels in your upscale cars.

Yeah I liked this car, but some of the details were unsettling and it was more than the TLX type-s for me by about 5k. I didn't like cheap tires right off the bat, the digital dash, the touchscreen, the lighter feel of the doors, it's not as rigid of a car, and it doesn't corner like the type s. It does have a snappier motor, and I like the quilted seats more than the Alcantara inserts in my car. The test drive and experience with the dealer were red flags for me, and I always check with parts to see how much certain things cost and if they're stocked like brake rotors. The Acura was cheap and in stock, but the Genny was more and they had to order. For me, that means I'm driving a shitbox loaner elantra for who knows how long, and that's no Bueno. I'm happy I bought what I did.

It's more of a parts bin decision. They prob have enough in inventory and need to use them somewhere, especially now that the Kia Stinger and K900 got discontinued for western markets. It's the same thing with the Lexus IS500, it got a V8 but because they need to empty out their parts bin since it's getting discontinued.

The Kia Stinger, it's sister car on the same platform, gets a temperature adjustment wheel for the vents. Considering the G70 is a luxury car, I would have thought this would carry over as well. I know the G70 has less backseat space than the Stinger, but that's not excuse for leaving out that feature especially when it's available in the German competitors.
I do wish the AWD Stinger had the LSD more readily available in the US. AWD Stingers only got the LSD on special/limited edition models. Canada had the LSD as a standard option on their AWD cars. 😕

Sorry you're clueless. I've owned both. The EN is way more precise on track , the chassis is considerably lighter ,better cooling , you're more connected to the road, better steering, better suspension setup and the DCT transmission first and foremost is more refined and tuned for competitive track sessions and you can get a N in a manual? The g70 transmission auto up shifts lol it's not made for the track.
Hilarious to even compare. For fun and performance/track ready out of the box get a N , for comfort and luxury , GT driving get a g70. Period.
The g70 is a beast in a straight line with that v6 but it's not going to beat a EN around any corners. A Kia stinger gt is more of a track weapon than the g70 to be honest. We only get the RWD variants here in Australia and they're more fun than AWD
The Veloster N is fun but sits on a older inferior platform to a EN , I used to own a i30n hatch , same car at the bones . The EN is still more refined and quicker. Looks are subjective, whocares and cool you can tune a g70 , you can also tune a Elantra N 👍🏽
