tbh i don't know much about baku but outside of the city there's a cool places called yanar dag which is a natural gas fire. But if you really want to see Azerbaijan go to the mountains if you can, there's a place called goygol national park which is beautiful and down south there is a town called vang with a cool old monastery. Outside of baku there are also plains of mud volcanoes to see. Since you guys only want to stay in baku it seems that all I'll say but next time if you go to Azerbaijan make a trip out to the west around Ganca where everything is. Overall I hope you have a good time and safe travels.
Your slang reminds me of my friends in my old town that where used to live in southern Ontario, especially “broski” and “fax” we would even mix it up with “brochetto” mixed with hick slang like “get her done” or “going for a rip” but now mashallah my friends are my friends at the masjid which a lot are from different parts of the world so food at iftar is bomb but overall I have never been closer to Allah ﷺ alhamdulillah.
I love Turkey. I’ve been there before. Inshallah I will come to study Islam there soon. I hope you and your family are ok, praying for all of you. May Allah heal all the pain and suffering from the earthquake 🌹
