Yeah these guys look just like the old BMC ACW (American Civil War) figures which I think are still being sold. I have a whole bunch of them and they ARE pretty good for the money ( although personally I would have preferred softer unbreakable plastic). You can create some great scenes with them, and there are a HUGE number of accessories available for these guys like extra horses, tents, cannons and limbers (the "cart" you were talking about), etc. There's even a reproduction of the infamous Andersonville prison camp, complete with a figure pf the camp commandant, the supposedly evil Wurtz. So you can keep adding to your scenes.....
You can do so much with these figures. I used to buy up the cowboys and Indians, sculpt them down to basic figures and then turn them into anything, medieval to zulu wars, civil war to crimea. I copied the figure sets in the old Wm Britain's catalogue. When I moved house I sold them all safly, but actually made a lot of money. All from cheap cowboys and Indians.
At 1:32 that cart that hauls ammunition and gun powder is called a caisson , as in the Army's hymn "As The Caissons Go Rolling Along". At 4:14 though I've never seen a a caisson hooked up to a horse like that, looks painful for the horse.
I used these guys for a Gettysburg diorama. Used 2 and a half bags. Those things are amazing.
