I'm Julie McElmurry & I filmed this in Feb. and Aug. 2017 at the invitation of the Poor Clare Nuns of St. Clare Monastery in South Carolina.
I am seeking invitations to make more docs about women religious and to show and speak about this film (at schools, retreat centers, parishes). II've interviewed about 80 female religious at this point and completed five movies. I live in NC and travel everywhere. I work in Spanish and English.

I have two advanced degrees: Franciscan Studies (St. Bonaventure U.) and Religion (Fordham U.)
I crafted this from about 10 hours of interviews and footage. This is merely a glimpse, from one particular outsider. There is more to their life than could be represented by any movie. There are infinite number of movies that could have been crafted with the given footage; this is the one I made.

At this point, I had completed 5 movies, all about female religious. Equipment includes: Canon Vixia HFR500, H4N, Lenovo T410, and PowerDirector 14. In other words, some old and inexpensive equipment. You can make movies too.
