    Stuff we use:
    LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq
    AUDIO
    Rode VideoMic Pro - The Rode mic helps us capture our backup audio. It also helps us sync up our audio in post amzn.to/425k5rG
    Audio Recorder - If we had to do it all over again, this is probably the first item we would have bought - amzn.to/3WEuz0k
    LIGHTS - Although we like to use as much natural light as we can, we often enhance the lighting with this small portable light. We have two of them and they have saved us a number of times - amzn.to/2u5UnHv

    It's amazing how independent films/television is making sort of a a comeback after a somewhat long hiatus after the 90s ended. I am working on getting my own production company together in my home state of New Jersey. 🎬📺🎞📓🏆📽

      The insight that when we choose a movie or show to watch, we want to feel different than we feel at the time. That's huge. I've seen that portion of the interview before, and a couple of times have literally asked myself how I was feeling, and found something different to that. If we think about our intended audience, we can use that knowledge to great effect. Game changer.

    This guy is very off the mark about Netflix being monopoly. They also produce and spend on their own television and movies.

    • @aaronhunyady
      @aaronhunyady Před 23 dny

      Cory mentioned that they produce their own movies. A company can also be a vertical monopoly. In film, this would be a company that does everything in house from writing to production to streaming and thus avoids some of the normal market pressures on other companies in the same sector, thereby gaining a price advantage. Up until ~2019, Netflix was a horizontal monopoly, holding the big majority of streaming market share in the US. Since then they've lost a lot of market share, but in 2015 (I think) they started making their own movies, transitioning their monopoly status from horizontal to vertical to try and stay ahead of the competition.
