I am an American Vietnam combat Vet. (U S Army 505th PIR 82nd Airborne Division) I served in Phu Bai and Quang Tri, South Vietnam. I was a Staff Sergeant. I guarantee you, that if any member of my LURP (LRRP Long Range Recon Patrol) Squad attempted to rape and murder Any Woman, Vietnamese or otherwise, he would find my locked and loaded M16 in his face, and if he tried to proceed with his atrocity, I would order him to stop, one time. If he did not stop his assault on the Woman, he would have become a War Statistic known as, KIA. My people Knew where I stood on that kind of shit, so they carried themselves accordingly. And, I was not the only NCO that thought this way. I refused to be Any part of commiting an atrocity against some poor ass Vietnamese civilians just trying to survive the War. If I did, I have nightmares the rest of my life. However, if I prevented this type of gross crime, I think I'd sleep just fine . I beg the American People to know that all Vietnam combat Vets were not monsters in Country ( A Military phrase meaning being in Vietnam.) Please keep in mind that the horrific "Mai Lei" Massacre was stopped by an American UH 1 (Huey) Helicopter Pilot that landed between the innocent Vietnamese civilians being slaughtered by American Troops, and the Pilot aimed his Choppers weapons at the American atrocity commiting Unit, and threaten to open fire and kill them All of they did not stop...wisely, their Commanding Officers (CAPT. Medina and 1st Lieutenant Calley ordered their Men to immediately cease fire and stand down. To me, and most other Troops, that Pilot was a hero.

My DAD and his brother served there all of my mothers brothers except one served in viet nam, one in korea, they tried to draft my older brother while he was still in high school. When you dad is in the service you move often causing my brother difficulty in scool he graduated at 19, me 3 years younger graduated 16 and 6 months old, my neighbor was a captain in the Army he lived through 3 tours the last one took 3 inches from his left leg shot by sniper in knee, he showed us a side of that was few over here saw countless bodies every place you looked. Isure wish we stayed in contact with him he showed us 6 dead rock apes [bigfoots], these creatures killed dozens of us soldiers, he said they believed it was tigers, bodies half eaten, he had color slides that were pristine clear, close ups, he told my dad that even back then they were pretty sure that they were not just some ape it took several bullets to kill one and 15 min. later it would start moving again, to completely kill it one in the eye socket any place else it heal itself ., my dad said son he was just embellishing his story, they were just forgotten cavemen, today we know different, he was ordered to germany, completely gone in 3 days.. Those slides today worth a bundle he is most likely dead or in his 90 s I'm 65 dec. I have been around active military personnel most of my young life was head bartender at officers club white shirt and tie everynight well worth it big tippers 20 dollar tip was common, and the general liked me, i'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact his son was my best buddy. I have always felt so ashamed at the way society treats veterans, the general public should be giving these folks anything they want or need particularly war vets. They should never stand in line for anything. Our government has lost it's way sold out by Biden to china, we will be lucky if this nation survives 6 or 7 more months of his BIDONOMICS , he is the very reason why you can't have career politicians, 50 years he never accomplished anything accept fill his pockets, food has doubled, gas doubled houses doubled interest rates tripled inflation , like no other president and icing on the cake he allowed 20 million undocumented aliens in to this country many are gang members,as they cross the line to enter the us they each get $4400 ,00 for starters, walmart last night looked like i was in another country, and the angry look on their faces, 2 of my neighbors were robbed in the parking lot this past week at walmart, broad daylight, from now on this SMITH never leaves home without my partner mr. WESSON. In the 1980s i was married to a woman whos sisters husband was a pathologist a doctor he and two other doctors had a clinic the only one in the entire community he was knocking down easy million a year each partner, super smart guy genius level IQ, we went to visit for vacation a week sisters , he and i got along great he was ex military they paid for his education , while fishing he let me in on a well kept secret, today since you were willing to give your life for my freedom i will let you in on this secret do you know a vaccine was discovered to prevent you from ever getting a cold or flue? it was in the 1950 s and again by someone else in the 1970 s i started taking it as soon as i got home that was 1983 today 2024 i have not been sick one single min., the reason they can't share this with the masses, it would completely devastate our country and evenually the globe, our system is built around people getting sick, this vaccine is dirt cheap buy it at any drug store i take 2 pills each day with food helps break it down 4000 iu each pill is 2000 iu when your body has plenty of this in you no virus can hold on to any cell long enough to reproduce and it dies VIT D-3 i promise you this is the greatest gift anyone ever gave me and now i am giving it to you, even when i tried to catch covid i couldn't, in fact, cuts and scapes all heal faster, to date i do not know one person who caught covid 19, imagine that, the crazy thing about it this information is out there if a person researches it. proving the power of the media is to powerful, they would never endorse it, who would want to be the reason society collapses, i doubt anyone will read this but you. thank you for defending this nation. live long and prosper.

The facts in this case sickens me. I was in the Air Force in Thailand in 1970, 1971, and 1972. I realize that "In Country" Vietnam it was next to impossible to determine who the enemy was, and certainly an enemy could be in the form of a young 20 something girl, but what these soldiers did was "not duty". it was pure and simple a total disregard of normal human decency. I can't even imagine where the minds of these soldiers were. It's unfathomable what they did. Don't try to tell me that war changes people, but to change people that much then to me there was no moral code in these men to begin with. And "YES" the Army covered it up.

There were atrocities on both sides. Read Nick Rowe's account of being held in a jungle camp in the Mekong Delta for five years. The conditions were beyond deplorable and a number of his fellow prisoners died as a result of the brutality of the conditions. I've heard accounts of marines who went back to retrieve their dead only to find them dismembered.
The weaponry we unleashed on an Army of farmers was as much of a war crime as anything they did to us.
As well as has also been reported how the government lied to the people of the United States bringing the country to civil unrest and nearly civil war.
My friends who did make it back, suffered horribly from the memories and experiences they witnessed or participated in.
War has always been an ineffective way to practice politics by other means.

There is no excuse for the actions of those soldiers. Let me explain by taking me as an example. In a
intensive fire fight during an ambush. A soldier was wounded,
for they went past the ambush,so
some were taken prisoners and the wounded one left on the trail.
The sergeant called out for a soldier to go get the wounded soldier. Nobody took action and this is happening during the fire fight.
On the third time i took of toward the ambush under fire, and made
my way to him, and listening to my
    sergeant,even though i couldn't
see him and successfully got him
    out ,under fire.
On another occasion during my last mission. During the Monsoon
Season, the weather got impossible so we hit the area where the battle of hamburger hill was fought. But what I'm saying
    happened before Hamburger Hill.
Let me say it like this. It was a gloomy day with drizzling and we
all sat with our Rucksacks on waiting to be taken to the hot LZ.
The weather just kept getting bad
then all of a sudden theres a hole
in the weather and i get in the second chopper going to the hot LZ. I want you to see what i saw.
We take of from the hill and fly out,
but the chopper is going down, from the starting point. We fly into the Ashua Valley. We fly and I'm sitting by the door of the chopper my butt barley sitting in the inside ,of the chopper. I'm trying to fine the stirrups of the chopper, that is what he uses to land on ,but my legs can't
reach it,so i know, that I'm in a lot of trouble. The rain hits my face and the mist makes the weather chilly. The valley is very green and
at this time the scenery is beautiful, and just for a split second, i think there is no time to enjoy the
beauty. The Ashua Valley is all green mountains all around. The
    Warrant Officer picks the mountain
in front of the chopper, and im still
trying to secure my body ,so I'm
trying to reach the door opening
with my hands,to no avil. The chopper finally fines its spot on the side of the mountain, and we slowly start to climb the mountain.
The mountain was so beautiful, but we did not know the reputation of
the mountains. We were choppering up the mountain, when all of a sudden, small arams fire erupted from the floor of the mountain. The pilot took evasive
maneuvers, and he flipped the chopper into a 45-degree sumersult,so i knew i would fall off the chopper. I asked God, "Let me know just before i die,so my spirit doesn't wonder in this world, and please take care of my mother." In
    reality, the centrifugal force kept
me inside the chopper. We finally get to the top of the mountain, and the fire fight is fierce,so i see my
    friend Panchito from New Mexico
dead laying on the ground. The
NVA ran off, but the weather got
worst, and only ten of us had to
hold the hill till the next day. In
    the morning one NVA surrendered
to me,so i got him naked to make
sure he had no weapons. A group
of the guy's said they were going to kill him. I told them you touch him, and i will kill you. I said you should have done that yesterday or
were you too busy hiding. The soldier did not want to fight anymore, and i took him at his😢 word. Late in the evening, the rest
of the company came and me and the squad and I were sent a 100-meter
    down the mountain on ambush.
I saw my other friend that was in
A company go further down the
mountain he got killed that night.
    We called him cookie,because he
would trade anything for a c-ration
    can that had cookies.
If,you fight everyday then you don't
    have time for bullshit. 29:59

In the Dac To area the NVA took
no prisoners. I suspect that he
escaped after five years he could
have done it earliest. We had five
of our soldiers taken prisoners, during heavy fighting.
We followed them and took every
    hill that they occupied,killed their
    soldiers and recovered ours. Let
me tell you what it's like. You have
to fight for days before you
    accomplished your goal. They
have been dead for several days and you have to put them in a green plastic bag,so 4 soldiers
grabbed two arms and two legs
and torso remains on the ground.
I'm sure these soldiers would have liked
to spent five years in a bamboo
caged but they were killed because the rule said no prisoners. 0:00

Political war we should have NEVER been involved in. The sacrifice of our men to a war they had no chance of winning because of politics. The lives lost, how they were treated upon their return.
    Special place in HELL.

Soldier's of all countries have pitfalls! When forced to do things that go against moral justice the lines become blurred! The enemy must be considered less than you and in that you begin to believe you have control of all situations! As horrible as crime can be there is no limit! The real crime is the ability of authorities to overlook or under punish the criminals involved!

@@josephhudson8829 I've seen enough, thanks. I was first aware of the Vietnam war when I was in the library at school aged just 12/13. That picture of that man bound and shot in the head, in the street by American soldiers and the picture of the little Vietnamese girl running naked with her flesh hanging off her body from that, bomb they dropped!. I would like to have a look at the film though if you tell me what it's, called. I don't understand what, rape and murdering women and children and old folks has to do with anything. We've had 2 world wars and the Vietnam war and what's been the benefit of them?. My grandfather had, some of his fingers blown off in the first one and my father served in Hong Kong and my mother and aunty did service as well. Is that the name, of the said film' What Happens In The, Field Stays In The Field '?.

unfortunately regardless of the please of innocence i was a british ex pat, living in asia, between 2012 and 2018 when, On October 11, 2014, Jennifer Laude (Tagalog pronunciation: [ˈlaʊdɛ]), a Filipina trans woman, was drowned to death by Joseph Scott Pemberton, a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps in Olongapo, Philippines.[2] Pemberton admitted assaulting Laude and deployed a trans panic defense in his 2015 trial.[3] His charge was downgraded from murder to homicide by a judge in 2015, and he was convicted on December 1, 2015. Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte granted an absolute pardon to Pemberton in September 2020.[
what the papers didnt say was.... the officers onboard the ship, tried to hide the crime and leave the harbour, sinking local fishing boats, in there haste to escape justice, without the officer facing the police, so corrupt from the top down! ive literally seen white uniforms with child hookers in subic bay, so dont give me no sh1t about innocence, half of all armys, should be on the s@x offenders register!
