  • If you are an heir or a beneficiary, you have certain rights. However, some of the rights do not accrue until the party in whose estate you are the heir or beneficiary dies. For instance, you may be named as a beneficiary in a Will but that does not mean you can demand that the lawyer who drafted the Will give you a copy. On the other hand, if you are a beneficiary in a trust and the event which initiates payments to you has occurred, you are likely entitled to a copy of the trust. The point is, you are not automatically entitled. Consult a lawyer to see if your fact pattern makes you entitled now.

How do anyone get help if they can't afford a lawyer or afford to do anything if they don't have the means or ability financially speaking? How do someone like me whose a granddaughter to my grandmother through my father whose deaf get help to understand where I stand in all this because I'm confused between my grandmother and my aunt who I feel is placing a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. If im not eligible for help from your services who are the people I should be looking for? My grandmother a d aunt are the only ones I know still alive that have states in the land and when they are gone I feel I'm going to be in a bad position.
