      @@BlackDragonTavern Greetings! I'm a newcomer to Norse culture and history. Still finding my way around, so to speak. I enjoyed your video and looking forward to others to come. I have a question, if you don't mind. Aside from the Havamal and the Eddas, do you recommend any other literature that might be helpful? Thank you for your time. ⚔️

    Having any Rune as a "Ink Decoration" is a tremendous mistake. " Thing's" will start to occur without knowing "why" !!!
    Life Fehu, live like it is.

    Would you please point me toward some historical references that tell us what meanings are associated with each rune? Many of these runic associations I've been hearing seem to be very new creations of new age people.

      There isn't much available academically, the best resource I could recommend would be Jackson Crawford has a video explaining what academics understand on the subject, and that is the best non-clan resource I've seen.

      They were certainly very common amongst Norse markings on jewelry and ships.

    Is it not the symbol for Cain in the Bible?

    • @BlackDragonTavern
      @BlackDragonTavern  Před rokem +1

      Not quite. The symbol of Cain faces the other direction, the lines slant downward, there are three of them and the lower two are disconnected from the main stave.
