Alan, no doubt you will have already worked out that the headlights only light up when you place the reversor in either FORWARD or REVERSE.

Had a look into 60's carrying that livery, and found that it appears 60010 did carry it - just not for very long! Apparently as part of theRoundel Railfreight promotion in 1989, the image as well as description is found after scrolling down a bit:

Great video there Alan. I agree about the brakes and the power controller set as there is only one notch that is to the "on" position and then it should move freely up to the max power. Also I hope that DTG will "flip" the locomotive as on the real Class 60's. Cab 1 is at the end where the fans and radiators are located as on this one. Cab 1 is actually Cab 2 and if you could pass this information onto DTG for me so that they can correct this and also the driver side cab window should open from the middle partition and it should slide back. Other than those issues and with the blend of MB275T and VP185 sounds mixed together. Its a great add-on and it comes with a nice set of tankers as well that will be useful for scenarios. I have a feeling that AP will very likely do an Enhancement Pack and there is also Major Wales as well that has done overhauls for payware trains like the HST and the Class 153. I have also done my video on this add-on as well which I have covered this new Class 60 and I actually like it bar the bugs it has.
I think AP are working on something as they have pulled the Class 60 sound pack from sale though it is still available to download if you have already bought it. I really hope they do it as their 31, 37 and 86 packs were amazing!

I was initially disappointed when I saw the release info but I like the cab and that's where I'll be. The TEAs clinched it though, as did having the new DTG HST in GWR livery "in game".

It's a 60MPH Loco, The Brake Selector Switch will be in "Goods". This will apply and release the brakes much slower
Brake selector switch can be in either Pass or Goods, what it changes is how quickly pressure builds in the locomotive brake cylinders when an application is made. Brake pipe control is actually quite quick on a 60 in both modes.
@@mattharbon The Pass position is only used on a 60 with passenger stock or while running light engine. In goods, it applies and releases significantly slower. This is especially true when you have a long empty train, as the brake force from each individual vehicle is lower.

@@mattharbon TTA wagons. 60 MPH empty, 45MPH Loaded. Shouldn't be fitted with a changeover lever as class 6
Sorry should read a Class 6 train should have wagons in good position before departure and brake test

This train passes my house to and from Robeston , sadly the the red peril DB livery these days, EWS if I’m lucky 🤷♂️
the red sectors was only on one 60 I think... this is like the LNER HST, the modelling is OK, but the sounds and physics are horrendous.
I think the Idle sounds are the same as the diesel sounds from the MKS 73.

They might want to take a look at that sub-sector logo, as it's too long; meaning the bottom of the blue square doesn't line up with the bottom as of the flint grey band, as per the prototype. I checked with images, to ensure '029 wasn't a special case.

Alan can you please help me, I’m mad about trains and currently a driver so I’m dying to get into train sim but know nothing about pc gaming. I’m looking at buying an Acer nitro 50 i7 8gb 1tb ssd gtx 1660 super. Will this play train sim 21at a high quality or can you recommend a gaming pc or laptop around the 900-1200 pound budget that’ll provide high quality train sim gameplay?
Mate why would you want to drive trains on a sim if you drive trains in real life??

i would try to aim for 16gb RAm as a minimum best place is to ask on the fb group plenty of proper tech heads on there chap

I dunno if it's just me, but half those sounds are legit from AP's 60 Enhancement Pack

physics are shocking, a 60 does not accelerate that well, even with a light load.
How the fuck would you know?.....as seeing as it has a 3.100hp engine and is very powerful locomotive then yeah it would.....but I do know as I have seen them accelerate that fast and under load

DTG should stick to making routes instead of trains. They are useless at making them. In terms of sound all the trains they have brought out sounds crap.
