The girl in the video is actually clever. She singles out the Weeknd as the most soft-hearted one in the gang, and makes puppy eye contact with him through the whole video. She covers her eyes in the first van because she doesn't want to see the real faces of the robbers or else she is guaranteed to be killed. She isn't afraid to use a gun in a stressful situation. She might have been unlucky in being taken hostage but by no means is she a damsel in distress.
