I received this product as a gift and was excited about it. I have had limited satisfaction however with it. The solar panel has seemingly never worked. I have to recharge it on my computer. This requires removing the feeder outside and bringing it inside to my computer. It takes about 10-12 hours to recharge the battery. Once recharged, I return the feeder back to its post position. The battery meter then continually decreases even during very bright clear sunny days. This is very annoying to have to recharge the battery after only 2 to 3 days. There is no easy way to contact the manufacture too. The directions are very skimpy and no mention of solar panel woes. Also, the bird feeder made with plastic not only attracts birds ( we have had many come to it), but squirrels to. I had to rig up some chicken wire 3/4 around the feeder as squirrels were gnawing on the plastic near the out feeder tray. Finally, the plastic feeder door is very thin and does require 2 screws to hold it down. Resupplying the food, thus is more time consuming since the 2 screws have to be removed and then replaced for each food refill. The feeder has many good features, but my experiences suggest more improvements are needed to make for a complete satisfaction state.

I'm looking for a solar powered, stand alone (no cloud storage and download), wifi enabled direct to PC, 4k humming bird feeder motion activated setup. was using blink camera system, camera an motion setup was good, but the internet setup is problematic.
Any suggestions on how to mount in a way keep squirrels off it?
I have it all set up but does not seem to want to record motion or birds. I found the instructions woefully inadequate.
