Bruh, this is so true, I get shit on for not clutching a round just because the enemy had a genuinely good strategy at winning, while the toxic players after whiffing 4 times in a row seem to suggest that it is somehow everyone else's fault for dying first when they are the ones who take forever to rotate to help hold/defend the site. It's not just ranked anymore, it's even in spike rush and unrated, even replication sometimes

I'm not a sova main, but I play soda alot, because recently I've been doing good playing him. But I honestly don't even talk in voice chat anymore because everyone in my lobbies hate sova mains.
To be honest, that's common with any game that requires a moderate amount of skill.
A lot of toxicity comes from people who think they are "Pros" and that justifies their behaviour as a way to "encourage others to git gut" or show that they are above you and allowed to do stuff like this
The real problem is that, if you win a match, you get 10-25 points, if you lose, you always lose at least 22/28 points...
Don't even get me started on the kids. I just came off a game with a kid playing Phoenix, he team killed me because I didn't give him a skinned Vandal.
Something I also don’t like is the penalty you get even if your teammate goes AFK whole match or even just leaves, they need a system like Apex that recognizes when a player has been AFK for a specific amount of time (maybe like 2-5 minutes cuz ik some ppl have bad internet and crash) or just sense if someone leaves the game entirely
Two days ago I played with a raze who didn’t buy anything from first round, no comms, starts throwing nades and satchel at teammates the entire game. I’m in plat so I’m not that high rank but I just can’t understand the mindset of queueing into rank if you can’t give your best ☹️😢
as a new player who solo queue most of the time, watching youtube and people talking about this, at first i was like 'wth are they talking about?' cuz i was placed in a lobby with bunch of cool n chill people even tho i was utterly terrible (sure some of them do use the cursing / bad languages n stuff but not in a toxic way). but then after the competitive's unlocked for me, istg i've only have one more match for the rank placement but i just dont wanna touch that mode ever again.

My friend and I are pretty new to the game, we only started about a month or 2 ago. (I’m b2 peak b3 and she’s iron 3) There was one game that we played and we were losing really bad, and the Phoenix on our team kept on calling our team trash just because he had a few more kills than the rest of us. Not to mention he was almost always the first to die every round.
Genuinely its a "feels bad man" bc i main reyna and istg almost constantly im assumed to be toxic asf. And im not im vibin and tryna be kind to people and get a vibe goin for everyone. Gotta have that positive energy. Also have gotten a lotta people say im the nicest reyna theyve met and i cant understand that reyna players are so toxic.

Man pheonix mains , i had ping issue in a game and the pheonix was top fragging ,out of nowhere he started blocking and using his abilities on me , flashing me whenever i was peeking . It was so frustrating, later he went afk after 3-4 rounds .

Ranking up in Valorant and sometimes CSGO is like growing up, in iron and kind of bronze most ppl are wholesome and supportive, once you hit silver ppl start to flame you and lame you for losing the previous match and realize the world isnt all nice and shit from my opinion

I've met a fair share of toxic players and crybabies. Didn't affect my mood much but it's mentally exhausting playing with negative people.
I did a thing with a friend where everytime we died we took a shot and blasted white girl music. We got a group of some really cool people and it was genuinely the most fun ive had in valorant in 2 years.
as a phoenix main, I just ok ok people that just toxic and play like usual and support their teammates. But I really hate people that not only toxic so badly but also team-griefing for no reason.

Phoenix is basically designed to be annoying as fuck to play retake with. It's gotten so bad I usually just break away and lurk mid if there's a Phoenix with me because they're just not reliable.

Sometimes I get sucked up into the feelings of a toxic lobby. But I’ve learned to primarily let things go that are not important to me. If someone is toxic feel bad for them that their mood is low enough to drag others down. Nothing matters when youre trying to have fun. It’s easy to let things slide now

I reported some guy for being toxic as hell and I recieved a message in the chat box saying "Your report for a player abusing voice chat has been registered and the player has been given a penalty" Or something similar like that idk, but I knew it was him lmfaoo 💀
What they need to learn is that their rank is not an accurate representation of their skill level. I've met a lot of legit low rank players in Bronze and Iron players that are actually really good at the game, but all they are missing is win consistency, and toxic players are partially contributing to that.

You need to discuss the 1 person voting for draw when it’s 14-14 and that one person deciding no one gets rr and they should make it majority vote
It's what happens in every competitive game. However the reason its so much worse in valorant, is due to its large and diverse playerbase that have come from many different games. Games like CS:GO and siege of similar genre are known for toxicity but I've had way way worse experiences and seen worse toxicity in valorant. I feels that's because of its mass popularity aswell as people who stick around and enjoy competitive games are often a little too serious about winning

The toxic insta lock Jetts that lurk every round to get a 1-2 kills after the whole team is dead are the most toxic since they then are top frag. Score doesn’t matter to the team if you don’t win the round.

Not the case for me. When I was in low elo (iron, bronze, silver), I had lots of toxic encounters. Now that I'm ascendant, I get goofier and light hearted teammates more than toxic one. Plat elo is filled with egotistical players tho not even trolling. Diamonds r chiller than plats for the most part.
I don’t know about everyone else but the most toxic ones sound the youngest. It’s mostly duelists though.
(An Immortal gamers opinion) Who you "main" doesn't make your personality. Some people are unreasonable, ignorant, thick headed, and moronic. Instead of complaining about your teammates sucking simply give them tips to improve their game. I've learned if you set the mood and vibe yourself early on, you win more games. I'm only toxic to toxic people, I'm a public defender if you will. Just be in a good mood and it will spread.
One thing though... An agent doesn't mean the person using it is toxic. It depends. Sure Reyna will have more smurfs and therefore maybe a few more toxic people due to her being a smurf fav agent but like sova is just some agent with the regular amount of toxic people and a bunch on none toxic ones.
I just started the playing this game like 2days ago and the first unrated game I played I was getting flamed and made me not want to play the game anymore. Even after that I still got flamed and now I'm scared to even play unrated

K, but just because someone picks a certain character, doesn't make them toxic... I have seen toxic trolling Sages in my games and whenever I play Sage, I give heals to others, not myself, revive team mates, sacrifice myself to give location to team mates so they can clutch etc. So I don't think it's a matter of what character you choose in Valorant, but rather just the person's behavior and that's it.

Yeah, I was the bottom frag before the play, but I was a controller constantly stuck on retake because rhet couldn't hold sight long enough for me to rotate. It was ridiculous.
I was only able to play a few games earlier when valorant first came out because my pc is garbage and it still was so much fun, now just yesterday I was able to play again and people told me to just leave the game because I had frame drops (it wasn’t even ranked), 2 games later I top fragged and someone was actually quite nice but that was one game out of 3 so still 75% of my games
Toxic player here! I deliberately threw my last 37 games, I figured if I’m gonna lose anyways because the system thinks I deserve to, we’ll I might aswell speed run myself into the lower ranks! I’m actually a new player, I hit gold 3 with a 62% wr and 2.0+kda, I was really enjoying val, but then I randomly got a duo on my team that was trolling, then after losing that game I went up against a duo that smurfed on my team, then another troll team, and another until I lost 14 games in a row, all of which I was trying to carry but just couldn’t. Funny enough my wr was at 50% and after that final loss my games were somewhat winnable, but still felt like i couldn’t carry. Anyways I throw for fun now, dropped all the way to s1 0 rr with a 43% wr now, and my kda is 0.7.
Ive played enough games made by riot to know something nefarious is going on with their match making systems, in every other game I play I hit the top ranks extremely fast and with little effort, however I put thousands of games into league and a few hundred into val but I can’t climb no matter how much I improve my skill.
I am a pheonix who flashes their teamate on accident but I have never team killed

Well no, the biggest Valorant issue is how insanely easy it is to rank up. People get to high elo without even having an idea of fundamentals and thus this is the reason why you meet toxic people . When a player's gamesense is for silver and he gets to ascendant because of his aim he will be toxic .

I met a neon main and I was last to pick and I don't talk in game and if i do it's by game chat, but they said to be a sage or Skye for heals and idek how to play sage so I just stayed back and healed and we did end up losing but God damn neon was toxic, like we literally had Jett and Omen telling them to shut up and be quiet
