Got my wife the AirPods and she is absolutely in love with them compared to the EarPods! Plus when she speaks to me through the AirPods the sound is way way better than they were when she used to speak through the EarPods if that helps anybody. Plus she likes the capability of being able to answer the phone without her hands especially when they are full which happens a lot when she’s carrying stuff. She also notices that the music is much clearer and has much better clarity

I have second generation airpods and my $17 pair of wired Betron DC950HI earbuds sound far superior.
Sometimes price doesn't reflect quality.
