I travelled from Scotland to see Athletico Madrid eliminate PSV Eindhoven on penalties, it's the only time I have seen Atleti play live and the experience of visiting the Vicente Calderon was incredible.
Hopefully they can get back to playing this quality of football again and maybe win the Champions League.

Simeone started coaching Atletico that was in mid table laliga, very limited transfer budget, an average team. Average players, he gave them confidence, and brought them to their best shape and took them to 2 UCL finals in 3 years. He was ranked best coach of 2016.
Since then he won 2 Laligas, other European and domestic trophies and helped Atletico's revenue to quadriple in 10 years.
I think he was the manager of the decade

We have a fantastic team now, if Simeone pull his team together and find a solid formation and squad lineup from now for against Manchester and the other upcoming Ucl teams, we'll be one of the hardest team to beat if we make it in the finals. Griezmann is already on top form in the Champions league since his recent return đ„đ„ now is up to the coach and other players to step up cohesively.
You have a lot of good players, no doubt. However, this season has shown that this team just isn't at the right level to win the CL right now mate.

Shouldnât have gone through in Munich, Bayern were better and Griezmann looks offside, but then again, in the final, Realâs goal is offside and AtlĂ©tico missed a penalty, so yeah, it was fair on the whole, and certainly the last match shoulda been theirs. A pity theyâve stagnated in the last couple of years, because in the mid 2010s the Colchoneros were a hell of a side, a menace to any opponent.
Griezmann looks offside but was not, there are a photo in line that proves that, the pass to the final was legal.

How Griezmann, Ramos and Oblak didn't win Balon d'Or baffles to date. Also, how Torres got sent off for that challenge against Busquets and Iniesta didn't even get a yellow card for deliberately handling the ball in his 18-yard box baffled the most. Meanwhile, Ramos was offside for the goal.
